Because it's better than Uncharted 4.
- It looks WAY better on your steam library and is more pleasant this way.
- You don't have to download the whole stuff when you just want to play one.
- You can keep just one installed instead of the whole when you've finished it.
- If you want to copy the files or to move them between different hard drives, it's MUST more handful to have different smaller files for each game instead of a big whole mess all-in-one.
The same goes for the Spyro Collection (I would LOVE to keep one installed on my Steam Deck to play it from time to time, but I can't afford to keep the whole three installed at all times), the Crash Collection (same...), the Tomb Raider 1-2-3, every collection that does this. I hate it.
That's why I'm very happy about the Megal Gear Solid collection. FInally games sold and archived as separate entities.
Uncharted 4 is one billion times better than Lost Legacy.
But if you want some quick Uncharted fix, Lost Legacy is your man. It's more condensed and intense and "right to the point". It's not a cinematic experience that slowly builds itself ; it is more gameplay oriented, some sequences are very quickly done and that's good when you just want to play again some more of what you loved. It's a smaller project, and sometimes smaller project are as great as the big ones ; these are the games you're the more likely to revisit again and again.
I might not have the courage or faith to do Uncharted 4 one more time soon. I'd gladly spend an afternoon doing Lost Legacy again, without any reason, just because.
The same is true for SO MANY "lesser loved" stand-alones. Hail to the stand alone games !
Shadow Tactics: Aiko's Choice, Alan Wake american nightmare, Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry, GTA Episodes from Liberty City, XCOM Chimera Squad, Wolfenstein the old blood, MGSV Ground Zeroes, Dishonored Death of the Outsider....love them all. These are the guys I come back to when I want a quick fix for these franchises.
Then buy a console.

Hyperbole doesn't help anyone. UC4 is longer but LL was just as fun and felt identical to UC4 in terms of mechanics and gameplay. If you like the series and don't have Mommy issues then I have no idea why you'd only want one.
I don't want to replay UC4 ever but I would like to play LL again, since they are not a separate download it's a waste of space and it's annoying.
Also your first point is stupid as hell and I'm genuinely sorry for you if that's not trolling.
