Game will not start

Bought the steam version, the game launcher works. Click play, or options and the launcher just exits. I have verified game files. I have reinstalled with the same conclusion. I have a very high end gaming computer, with updated Graphics drivers and windows 11. I have closed many other open processes just to free up any resources just in case, but i literally have nothing but standard window processes running in the background.I have also tried other forum post suggestions such as:

Open the %appdata% directory. (Windows menu, type “%appdata”. This puts me in %appdata%\Roaming. Navigate up one level.)
Go to %appdata%\Local\IO Interactive\HITMAN3.

However, i do not see any IO interactive directory, so i don't see how this one is an option. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Please Assist.

Despite your PC being high end, try turning down all the settings and see if it makes a difference

Find''C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\IO Interactive'' and delete it,then it's done.

Probably won't help right now, but for future reference you don't want %appdata%; you want %localappdata% instead.

SOLUTION: I am running an NVIDIA 3070ti and my primary or deault graphics. However, despite that, my onboard intel chipset was out of date, according to the Hitman support team folks. After udpating my intel stuff, it works like a charm.

So bad for me, i only have a RTX 4090, and the game doesn't launch, even after doing all the stuff ...

Do you know how many threads exist on this forum over this very common topic? Enough that if you had looked for even a second you would have found an entire guide giving you possible solutions to try:

You're not helping !

Since it contains all the possible answers, it is helping. Since there isn't one singular solution to the issue, there is a guide that contains all possible solutions. Try them, or keep having problems.

If the solution isn't in that guide list, feel free to contact the games support page where they will give you the same list and you can lie to them about how you didn't actually try any of the solutions.

Stop avoiding the solutions, you're not helping yourself.

I'm very sorry for necro-ing this one, but i also didn't have the folder. What seems to have fixed it for me is moving the game into a different drive tome and creating the IO Interactive folder myself

I had the same problem and found the solution. Right click on the game and open the properties. Write this code in the launch options there

Then the game will open. I solved my problem this way, have fun.
