ICA outstanding service coin doesn't seem to exist anywhere.
Suppliers and mission boxes have nothing in them unless I use up tools or leave behind a weapon and need to buy it again.
Hardcore mode seems pretty useless, it's massively more difficult with no additional rewards (aside from a bit of XP boost from the few challenges you only need to do once)
It looks like the only thing left in mastery after 60 are safehouse cosmetics and some ugly suits, all the rooms and weapons are unlocked (the last one is the ancestral knife at 60)
I'll probably take a break now and just play this once in a while. Completing 100% challenges requires 100 campaign completions (1800) missions and I'm not gonna keep playing full time after these first few days grinding to 60.
Yeah, it definitely slows down at the halfway point, i'm mastery 59 myself.
I will definitely take a break though, or else I might burn out on the mode, I grinded it a lot in the last week.
You are taking the words right out of my mouth:
100 campaigns are really spicy, and I don't think I will actively go for it, but just play normal mode when I feel like it, or hardcore if i'm feeling lucky.
(Hardcore takes way longer per campaign and is a lot more stressful, but may be a nice challenge from time to time)

The insane amount of experience gets worse and worse each time and I can quess the last 10 levels require as much as the first 50 or something like that.
Hideout customization is quite good and I enjoy spending some time just chiling there. If they implemented this in another game, properly, with some social features, I can see it become a positive experience for players.
Not only would I require to finish 88 more campaigns, I would also require to quit tons of missions before finishing those, on top of failing showdowns (I am going to claim it will not matter as much, as I will most likely fail some more showdowns due some challenges I want to finish during those).
This is a heavy time sink
edit: and yeah, that coin just doesn't seem to exist.
There is only one particular target which I remember getting multiply times now:
Colorado, Water Tower, one of the two guards standing on the roof.
Besides him/them I barely noticed repitition of targets.
BUT I am sure that you can come to conclusions based on experience and target preferences, for showdown.
I got one of them myself for Ambrosia Island:
If my target is dehydrated and also likes to smoke, I know of one specific place where the same target, not suspect, takes a sip. Next time I get someone like that I will pick up a frog and poison his drink before even trying to check anyhting else, and afterwards report back on forums.
A bit, I only really noticed it in rather specific areas and could count them one hand right now, i'm really glad there is quite a decent number of NPCs to kill for each map.
In the long run, one will definitely recognize repetition, though.
The few that I can remember are;
- A model on Rangan's photoshoot that stands still close to three others
- A security detail running around close to the vault in New York
- A woman in Paris next to the Laptop where you can use the dongle
- A guard in the middle of the Mumbai laundry
- A bodyguard of Yamazaki
Suspects are only in showdown missions, they are the purple marked people you need to sus out to find your showdown target.
Do you mean targets in non showdown?
I've seen a few repeats. I don't remember the random people as much, but the game also includes named story characters as targets, some are people you have had reason to interact with during the main game or who get mentioned as part of story lines. Getting those as freelancer targets multiple times is memorable and immersion breaking.
From what I can tell all the side characters can be targets:

The ones I know I've had as targets more than once:
The hippie (Torres Polumbo) in Sapienza, and he shows up on more than one location too (santa fortuna, ambrose island)
I've had Abel de Silva (the drummer) for a target multiple times in Bangkok along with Jackie Carrington.
I've had both bank managers in NY Mateo Pérez (head of security) and Fabiann Mann (head of accounts). I think Mateo is very common for me, but then I pick NY a lot. (to rob the bank)
Many other side characters I've only seen once, but I've had tons of them at least once. I know I just had Amos Dexter (the cowboy) in Hokkaido and it was memorable because you couldn't just climb over to his empty balcony, he has two guards there that are new.
Still waiting for electronical music and i really have hope there will be berlin music and miami bar music.
And while indeed I find the mode entertaining enough, it will become a mindless grind after 3 completed campaigns or so.
Yeah, I think the devs mistook “fun for years” with “will take years to complete”, lol
Give me 1,000 Lego pieces and I’ll have fun for days, but eventually you get bored of Lego, I see what they were going for in the mode, but it’s not deep enough to make me want to play it over and over for years.
I'll probably expire before I get to level 100.
the only way to keep people entertained for years is to give periodic updates every year or every 6 months. Which I believe they might do for the first 2 years, at least.
It's already been 2 years. Freelancer was the last update for year 2 content after an entire year of "year 2 elusive targets" and arcade updates.
We're now entering year 3 as of February 2023. I'm not gonna speculate on what support we'll see for year 3.
Your first 6 or so campaigns you can get a lot of unlocks, you're getting new weapons (last mastery weapon unlocks at 60) and new rooms for most of it.
After 60 is just cosmetics as far as I can tell and you settle into the grind of repeating it even more than so. The longest challenge/grind I believe is to do 100 campaigns which would be 1800 missions (with no fails since it's 18 missions per campaign).
Everything else should be doable within the 100 campaigns (aside from some that require failure) unless you're intentionally skipping some of the more specific syndicates (since you have kill X of each type or kill with specific weapons, etc.)
So yea, for a casual player this is months or even years of content. For someone that just goes full time (which I've done for about a week) you'll blast the main content in 40 to 60 hours and the remaining challenges will still be several weeks of grinding. Personally I'm gonna play more casually after this first week, it's been fun but there's no reason to push as hard now that I have all the main content unlocked.
