I'm confused, what's all the bad reviews

I was about to download the demo, what's the problem?

I payed 44,99€ for deluxe on egs 6 months ago. Looked forward buying it again just to have it on steam (!), but not for 89,99€. IOI is crazy.

bad reviews are becasue the first level of the base game is f2p for all players on epic, that you can play this FOR FREE WITH ALL CONTENT RIGHT NOW ON GAME PASS and yet they expect you to A) HAVE WAITED A WHOLE YEAR and b) pay $79.99 to play the game. Essentially, Steam players expected for Hitman 3 LEVEL 1 to launch today as a f2p game, that they could then import their hitman 1 and 2 levels/content into and immediately start playing the old content + 1 level in the new game (which is what happened in hitman 2, and which is what epic store players were offered) No, instead, most of us have to wait a whole week just to buy the game if not longer.

Bad reviews mostly also stemmed from the confusion caused by the Hitman "Standard" bundle, which had the base game listed as $119 with all the content costing about the same price . People raged about this because they did not use their brains before thinking.

That's what the bad reviews are about..
and quite frankly, IO deserves every single on eo fthem. THis game is 1 year old at this point and launching with lacking features at a premium price after the facct is ccompletely unacceptable.

Like, we can literally just go grab the EGS version FOR FREE and import our hitman 1 and 2 content FROM STEAM into it at a reduced price if not FOR FREE. Why you expect us to pay suchh a ludicrous price is beyond me.

STEAM, EGS, UPLAY, ORIGIN, GOG - NOT PLATFORMS.
PC/MAC - PLATFORM
PLAYSTATION/XBOX/SWITCH/ ATARI 2600 - BLEEPIN PLATFORMS.

i'm usually in defense of Steam in these matters as it is definitely the superior "platform" of the others, however in this case I'm finding myself entirely unamused and regretful that I didn't donate tax money to CENSORED O NO CENSORED. O NO CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH THAT CESNORED STUFF IS BEING FUNDED BY OUR PURCHASES IN CENSORED COUNTRY 1 year ago.

hitman 3 has a free starter pack. it gives you access to basic content from the game with rotating missions and features. Once you install it, you can also import hitman 1 and 2 into it and play hitman 1 and 2 in the new engine.

This has been a thing since march 30 2020.

Mostly because after not being sold on steam for one year, the game is being sold now for the full price, as if it was new release, while at the same time being 50% off on the Epic store. So players feel like not only they had to wait for a year, but are being taken for a ride.

so basically anyone who dl the free starter pack for hitman 3 could just import their steam hitman 1 and 2 content into hitman 3 and start playing.

the point is, this should have come with the steam version. It did not. People aren't thrilled about it. What is the incentive to buy this version? we have game pass ultimate and can literally just go play the game for free right now in it's entirety without spending a dime. What makes your steam version appealing to anyone ?

Answer : absolutely nothing, outside being on steam so why bother releasing it? you seem to have missed the point somewhere along the lines. People buy things on steam because steam is the place with the most features for most gams. Releasing an EGS store version of a game on here with missing features was pointless.

They didn't get it on epic games for 80 bucks when it came out a year ago. They all thought they were so steam loyal and righteous. Look at the rants they posted about it on hitman 2 forum. lol. But now, they have found out that they aren't privileged just for being steam users. Which is good, because monopolies are both illegal, and suck. As for the game itself, it's eh. Hitman 2 was better.

1. Discount on Release: Personally I don't care that they didn't put a discount on it upon Steam release. I would have paid full price given I get so much mileage out of the game (I achievement hunt and start over fresh each game). I am personally mad about the DLC price though

2. Server Issues: Once again I have no issues with it. This is not the first game to have this issue on launch nor will it be the last. People aren't considering the fact that millions(?) of players from Steam are trying to play immediately AND the game launching at the same time on Gamepass for Xbox. That's too many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ people

3. Lack of Communication: I don't really understand whats wrong here. If you've payed close enough attention within the last year, you would've known where to import your progress. In case somebody wants to start beef I didn't purchase the game on Epic. I did my research just like with any other game I'm interested in. Additionally the process for getting the content from 1+2 --> 3 is the same as they did for 1 --> 2. You just have to own the prior game(s).

I'm no apologist, and I'm certainly no shill. I have zero expectations for the things that I look forward to, and should things go awry I'll handle it in a calm and measured manner. With that being said I'll absolutely criticize the ♥♥♥♥ out things, whether I love it or not. Once again just incase somebody is going to assume that I'm super biased I do have some criticism. Personally I'm pissed that the Elusive Target is set up kinda like the Escalations. While I haven't started the game yet I do keep hearing that. sucks. Super minor thing from me too I wish they had kept the achievement thing going. 1 having it's list and then 2 adding on the achievements from 1 with none being cut. Steam is no stranger to large achievement lists so I don't really see why they didn't (their answer would be they're streamlining it of course). Seeing as I start fresh every time that would easily give me 100+ hours of playtime. Maybe I just hate myself :shrug:

I will buy things on uplay, on origin and on GOG..
I will spend $800 buying all 4 dot hack games for ps2..

because the EGS is owned by tencent. That's why. Why does that matter. For the same reason people don't buy certain shoes or types of clothing. Censored.

You shouldn't lump everyone into one category. Their are numerous reasons peopel do't like one platform over the other rather than just being "steam fan boys".
