Which actor would you like to play Agent 47?
Let's say there's a new Hitman movie in development. Two questions:

1. Who would you prefer to play the role of the Hitman, aka Agent 47?

2. Which actor do you think should NOT play Agent 47? Or just which actor would make it look silly?

For me, I think Henry Cavill (The Witcher, Man of Steel etc.) would be a very good fit for Agent 47. Here are some photos of an almost bald Henry Cavill:

As for who shouldn't play Agent 47, or who should but for HILARITY sake, then I say Vin Diesel! https://static-ai.asianetnews.com/images/01dg2fvyf9qpyp4a6edat6vsp5/3-jpg.jpg

PS Looking at this article here, I have to say Tom Cruise kinda looks badass bald. Fit for an Agent 47?

i would prefer that no one makes movies based on video games ever again

The movie HITMAN Agent 47, Rupert friend had the very emotionless look that agent 47 has. The only problem was that he had hair follicles. If they could recast him but this time make him look really bald, then we could have a better Hitman movie. I liked his acting very much, a most threatening and good performance. Just use more make up to make it look like he is really bald and not missing hair.

there already was a hitman movie. i dont think i would have any interest in a hitman movie i never saw the first one was it good? i would rather have IO focus all there attention into hitman the video game.

As a comedy:
Gal Gadot as Diana giving the briefing, with Dwayne Jonson being used to run through the planned assassination and using the fiber wire (silent assassin/suit only). Followed by Ryan Reynolds actually running the mission, missing his stealthy entry, going on a crazy story mission, and giving us the classic hitman scripted deaths we all want.

ioi wouldn't have anything to do with making the movies, all they do is get paid for the license and some film studio would make it, no attention split involved.

Also, there's been 2, not just 1. The first one (Hitman (2007)) was OK, not really much of a Hitman movie, but about average for a routine action film.

The second, which wasn't even a sequel it was a reboot was just stupid and felt like it wanted to be a parody but forgot to put in any jokes. Hitman Agent 47 (2014)

----
In a different direction, this isn't technically a Hitman movie, but it's a movie about a Hitman and I think any fan of the game will appreciate the humor
The Body (2018) is on Hulu now (free)

On Halloween, a hitman finds his work made more difficult when he has to transport a body, but everyone is enamored by what they think is his killer costume.
It's honestly more entertaining than either of the "Hitman" movies.

Tom Cruise is too small (he's short) and too old (he's 60).

If you had asked this question 20+ years ago the correct answer would have been David Bateson, he's not only the voice for 47 but also the face model and a decent actor
https://www.facebook.com/GameNationWorld/photos/a.535360939885346/1810027885751972/ He would have been a 1 for 1 drop in for the character, but he's 62 now and no longer in good shape health wise.

If you had asked this question 10 years ago, my answer would have been Maksim Averin.

Not well known in the west, but a decent enough actor and would have pulled off the look a few years ago, not sure about now, haven't seem him lately.

But you're asking this now and I'd honestly go for someone even younger, someone that you could build a franchise around for the next 20 years, casting it today I'd pick KJ Apa. He's the right height, he's got a good athletic build, he continues to improve in his acting range, and he's got the right mix of European/Polynesian appearance so that you can't quite be sure where he's from that fits the 47 appearance model. Here's a quick digital sketch of him as 47

There were two bad hitman films already. Agent 47 is not fit to be a traditional protagonist - if films don't support it, the Absolution did.

If I would be forced to imagine Hitman film, I would try to make it a slasher style film - with 47 being offscreen boogie man, and focus would be on trash people who will get axed by him.

there are Hitman movies in existence, they are not good at all

but the first one have the best bed scene in every movie I have seen, he just stunned her to get to his target
but this lovestory light in the subtext ruins everything in the movie, and the second one is just crap

I don't either but I remembered a youtube ad about those 3 and had to look it up lol, to be honest that movie seems more like a buddy cop film.

Yeah, that was the inspiration because the balance worked out between a straight man and an actor that can get away with the ridiculous setups. In my opinion, you really need both to pull off a hitman movie otherwise you are missing what makes the games so great.

Maybe he's a bit old, but Mark Strong would be my ideal choice.

No movie would be great. No matter who plays 47 the movie will be absolute poop.
That being said Mr. Bean should be 47. That way the movie will be at least 2% enjoyable thanks to that great and funny man.
