Awesome! I can't wait to play the new content! :D
How about including an overhaul for a true to your intend translation into this roadmap?

Actually fixing the script would require redoing the whole localization from the beginning, because the liberties taken are far too numerous and extreme to be properly fixed by altering just a few lines. That kind of translation overhaul would take at least a year, maybe more, of dedicated work by a dedicated team.

This patch is coming out way too soon for that, unless they already had an alternative, backup script prepped. It will likely only be addressing the problems in the descriptive and flavour texts sections of the game.

Things like where the Bestiary names the "Material Dungeon (Forest)" (dev name for the map) instead of the Dappled Forest, unclear skill descriptions, etc. Things of that nature.

I don't think it will fully address the problems arising from the French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian scripts being directly/machine-translated from the English script, with minimal editing passes, either. Because even if they were accepting of the liberties taken in the EN script, fixing all of those editing problems typically occurs over several rounds of editing passes, typically over 6-12 months. And that clearly wasn't done before release.
From what I've seen in the mod that revises the localization there are like 60 lines that are problematic, so it's possible to change those. Also the localization problem truly is the fact that the text is made for 12yo to read.....

It was already deinstalled long before the end of the story, because it is a horrible game. And sorry I refused to compare it to other classic jrpgs. Just overhaul the base game before thinking of a road map and future content.

You obviously didn't play it much, and don't like Suikoden.

That mod fixes the most glaring problems, but it doesn't fix the more subtle changes to characterization.

It doesn't fix the fact that Kogen's use of "兄貴" was translated to "cousin" instead of "brother".
It doesn't fix the fact that Lian becomes insufferably condescending and constantly calls Nowa "kiddo", even when she doesn't use "後輩".
And so on.

Those more subtle changes to characterization are all over the script, and changing the worst, individual lines won't fix that.

I like it but I also find this game borrrrrrrrring in story and combat.

It's one of the best JRPGs I've played in a while. But I;m not too big on story, more on gameplay.

your stupid DLC is useless if some players are stuck in some of the story line. I got stuck in the battle of athrabalt, regaining yarnaan and now stuck at the rune-tank scene. game freezes and unable to progress the storyline, i spent more time repeating those scenarios than my actual game play. very useless game made by useless money-grabbing devs.

it's reasonable thing to complain, i also wait them to fix it to buy it.

The patch notes specifically say they are fixing progression issues, which is what you're complaining about.

If you are hoping that they're going to retranslate the main scenario, especially anything that would involve redoing voice acting, you're going to be deeply disappointed. I would expect the issues they're fixing to be grammatical and spelling mistakes, and mistakes in ability or item descriptions.

You have left "development build" written on the bottom right side of the screen. with the new patch... might want to fix that.

Yes I noticed it too. And a log prompt appears when starting a Beigoma battle...
