Physical damage and defenses are kings in this game, everything else is whatever
Attack and magic attack are obvious, dex is hit chance, speed is... Well, speed.
Defense and magic defense are obvious, luck is hit chance and might also effect drop rates.
In general, physical damage and your defenses are the biggest ones, except for the pure casters who have damage types that're elemental. They seem to use magic attack for all their attacks, and physical attack not at all.
Didn't I hear that magic attacks don't scale with magic level? That kind of seems to match my experience though that could just be that I'm always going to higher level zones and fighting tougher monsters. Is it magic attack that affects MP levels?
I've kind of been wondering some of this stuff myself.
And if magic attacks aren't actually properly scaling with the magic attack stat, well, that would explain why magic feels so underwhelming.
