There are cozy sims like My Time At Sandrock that give players the option to make the time tick slower or even faster, perhaps that's a viable solution for Moonstone Island as well?
It's what keeps me from buying these types of games. If anything there should be built in features to toggle them on/off. I hate being told how to play something.
It's like a primary school kid's story "I got up, I ate breakfast, I brushed my teeth, I went to school, I had lunch, I came home, I had dinner, I brushed my teeth, I went to bed."
But a setting to slow down/speed up time ticking would definitely be nice.
Shorter days let seasons change faster, so you get access to new flowers, etc. Also I heard that moonstone respawns each season so having longer day length is reducing the amount of high tier resources you get and I wouldn't want that.
You don't even have anything specific to do during the day. Talk with people in the morning, go exploring or go mining or go tree-cutting. There is usually just one task to do during the day (after talking).
I know the daily limits are in place to have players switch between stamina use, social activities, and exploring/fighting, but the limits seem arbitrary so far.
Early quests are a little wonky
Find copper ore - Find random hidden mine under rock, not bad
Find level 5 spirit and tame it - 1-4 is too low level, 6 is too high until you unlock skill tree and get 2 points in tree, so you need EXACTLY level 5
This unlocks spirit storage for more than initial 3
So if you were like me and stopped taming after getting 3 spirits and wanting to wait to tame more, assuming the game would unlock spirit storage...sometime. Whoops, who knew?
The talking/laughing/flirting percentages seem unnecessarily low until you discover that the skill tree can increase the percentages and finally moving from half heart to full heart relationship status improves the percentages. I do not see any relationship experience bar, so it was starting to feel like I was making no progress for a few days.
The only early game healing is the Lily pad or sleeping. The only ways to get Lily pads are randomly while exploring or scything them for seeds then growing them, which takes days.
I know this is just me figuring out the pace of the game, but it sure feels like I am stubbing my toe every time I turn around.
And you want faster days to grow them faster. So in this case faster days are better. I found something that heals for 30 hp on one of the first 4 islands (I think it was a mushroom). Started growing it for seeds in my garden but didn't collect it yet because it takes a lot of days to grow (8 or 10, I don't remember). But luckily I don't have to heal often. I just invested in 5+ shield stat and my units barely get damaged (most likely because I am still exploring only first few island and developing mining/upgrading tools).
