Spring Festival - Game freezes

Hey all - I haven't seen anyone report the issue that I'm having with the spring festival at the bath house.

After 'donating' and the gifts appear, the game no longer runs. Music plays, the 'moving' effects of the spirit gifts keep bouncing - but nothing else. No buttons work, I can't move, click, exit / save, etc etc. I've saved and replayed this four times now, and each time the game stops progressing at the same spot - immediately after the spirit gifts appear.

I have tried doing the same cut-scene from different locations at the bath-house, tried donating different items, but I still get stuck at the never-ending, untouchable, spirit gifts stage.

Any help would be appreciated!

I am also experiencing this on PC. but I also saw someone on Reddit say that they play on mobile and is having the same issue.
