its not the engine that causes the issue.
I thought it was? There were some mods on Nexus, then they all broke with the very next update. I've seen a lot of confusion in posts about the values constantly changing because of the way the engine works?
I also know the developer was very "don't teach others how to edit the info in the pacakged files" because I get it, cheaters. But like... c'mon? Also, they paid for the game, it's not like changing how easy it is will affect how someone else plays their game.
In addition, if they were concerned about pirating DLC, it's not like the people who do that were going to spend money on it anyway, nor were they going to be able to give it to someone else, so I don't see the logic of fear there, but that's their prerogative. (So I thought this added to the engine issues, by the way they intentionally coded it?)
Would it be possible for them to allow a steam workshop version for mods, that they can then vet? Wouldn't that make more sense?
What is it, then, if not the engine?
