Is there a limit to the amount of people the player can romance?

Is this game like those games where you can only date one person at a time?
Also if you are able to date multiple people are there any penalties to doing so like breakups or something?
Lastly, am I able to give a Moonstone bracelet to everyone I date?, or am I only able to give the Moonstone bracelet to a single person?
I really want to get the achievements with Magic Man / Waldo, but I also want to be involved relationship wise with other characters, and am scared to start dating because I do not want to be locked out of getting the achievements with Magic Man / Waldo.

Date everyone. You can only give one of the bracelets (to unlock the 4 home dates,) but you can break up with them. You can always save the game before giving Waldo the bracelet (to get the achievement) if there's someone else you'd rather commit to.
