Agriculture

[Grumble]

So i decided to start another play through and I'm wondering if gaining experience for agriculture is broken and if anyone else has experienced this before calling it a bug.

I have 96 spots open for crops having worked my way up and have been planting everything from flax to magic mushroom on a cycle and experimented with the wand that grows things fast and had no joy. I understand that planting seeds (rather than selling crops as the game states) seemed to be the way in which we earned experience here but having had a much, much smaller farm in my last game I haven't had a single point earned in this tree and I'm near the end of spring. This is quite a change from my previous play through. So has anyone else noticed anything different here or is it just me?

I'm midsummer in my current playthrough and have only gotten one point in agriculture, it appears to be very slow. I suspect it is because I have not found many additional seeds and have been mainly using the default ones you can find close to the starting island.

I must just be altering my memory of my past play through as I'm sure I was way further along this particular skill tree before than i am now. I've been getting a fair few seeds and even resorted to buying them quite a bit. I've just made a green house so at least the seeds I have will be of use as I move out of spring and into summer.

I'm glad it's not just me, I'll refrain from sending a bug report about it, this being the case. Thank you. =)

If I remember correct, the farming skills took a while, but... does that matter? You only need 2 points in farming for +50% droprate on seeds. The rest is pretty unimportant. 3 Points, with green thumbs.
