Where's Waldo?

How does his spawning work? I have the memory fragments but I can't find the guy anywhere.

Yeah well, finding Waldo can be kinda annoying. Each Skyland has a certain spawning aeria for Waldo's moving Witch House (Howl's Moving Castle? Mortal Engines? whatever), but seemingly moving around that aeria doesn't guarantee its spawning in a certain time period.

If you reload a save game over and over then on some try you'll find his house in such an aeria on an skyland. The more time you've left on that day the better. But that's all I can tell from my experience so far.

The only thing so far which seems like a rule is that you can only meet his house once per day. If you meet him on one Skyland you won't find him on another one. Or the chance for a 2nd encounter per day is just extremely low.

I think he wont spawn, if you fall asleep on an island where you don't have a house or are flying between islands, since he comes to your rescue.

After a rescue there is no opportunity to chat or trade with him ad his house disappears once you leave it and you have to wait till the next day for another chance of meeting him.
