Honestly, the Spirit barn requiring a CAPTURE of a level 5 feels like it's gonna trick someone

Now, I just tested it, and it works if you have a full party; which, thank god because if it didn't this would be a much more volatile situation. That being said, I can see someone (including me) seeing that and thinking they HAVE to release a creature if you already have 3 creatures that you may or may not have been training because you didn't fully pay attention to everyone's dialogue. Please make sure that this challenge says "You can do this while having a full party, and do not need to keep the newly tamed creature to pass the challenge" just for clarification purposes.

It didn't work for me. I had to release one to complete this quest and it's not very well designed - it's the shiny appearing before pokeballs are available all over again :(
(yeah moonstone island doesn't have "shiny" but it does have some neat stuff you beat up and don't get to capture again.)

I recommend a complete overhaul of how the barn is obtained, its fair game asking new saves to build one from scratch but having a requirement to tame a level 5 and you can't have any more without release and no warning is borderline game bankruptcy.

I can tell you right now... It tricked me. (: Had to give up a spirit I really didn't want to because I liked the other two more and it said I had to CATCH a level 5 one. I'm not getting back that monster (with whom I got VERY lucky with cards), because I was under the impression that I needed the room for a level 5 spirit.

Holos are shinies and I didn't get to keep one because my team was full up before I had a barn.

My complaint regarding this is, I did not know that I unlock the barn with this quest.
My team was alread full so I postponed it for when I have the barn... well... until I read in the forum where to get the barn.

My recommendations would be:
-Rework how the barn is obtained. Zed can't reasonably ask us for more research material without, idk, giving it to us. Have him have a small stable that we need to fill up (like 3 or 4?) and then he gives us the barn after we do that and also we get to choose to keep the monsters we caught once we make it.
-Holos should be catchable, room for them or not. I ran into three before I had the room for them. Or a way to "upgrade" your spirit to look holo.

Can confirm, was bamboozled and had to release a monster. Reading comprehension failed me that day. The upgraded cards being stuck on the monster I released felt bad too.

Could be solved if there was an option to let go of your own normal Spirits in the midst of taming. I wouldn't care about dropping a normal Spirit for a holographic one in early game, as I assume most players wouldn't care too much.

happened to me too, i also (somehow) was under the impression that i would have to tame one FOR HIM, i was very surprised he didn't even took it from me. *sigh* Well, i'm not the only one, that kind makes it a bit less shameful ;)

So, yes, it would be nice to reword this quest.

Got one and it wasn't worth it. On lvl 21 it had too much Agility. It almost balanced it out with a regular lvl 19 version. It has 14 agility on lvl 21.

Means: even if it glows it doesn't guarantee that you get something good... Better capture one on lvl 2 or 3 and train it via exp-crops (willo'wisps). In addition: that guarantees a better card-control. It really sucks to delete cards.

I care about holos the same way I care about shinies, back in earlier Pokemon gens: It might suck and I have better battlers, but it's unique and sparkly.

TBH, I thought the game meant to just get one of my team to level 5. I didn't realize it meant to catch one ALREADY AT LEVEL 5.
I was EXTREMELY disappointed and actually stopped playing the game due to this issue, and I am now simply waiting to play the rest of game until they do something about this quest.

If they changed this to simply just complete the quest once 'any pet reaches level 5', it will make 1000% more sense.

I'm pretty certain there is no need to "catch" it, you simply need to feed flax to it until it gets tamed (at which point it will be auto-released as I'm sure your team is full and you have no barn).

At this point, you go back and talk to Zed, and maybe need to turn in research, and you get quest complete, and your barn recipe in the mail.

Although the quest list in the menu may not be clear on this point, Zed himself says there's no need to bring and show it to him, you just have to have experienced taming one of that level.

Better word choice in the quest log would help immensely, however.

Dude you have to wait till the next morning after handing in the research - the letter comes the next day. It has nothing to do with your team setup.
