As it is, the only season I can be bothered to farm outside is Fall, and only for the exp crops. The rest just aren't worth the time it takes to clean them up with my scythe.
I don't necessarily like the scythe and its upgrades, but i am pointing out the upgrade has a purpose.
Then... don't u-s-e Scythe-upgrades >>
Edit:
Tool-Upgrading is a preference-thing: you can do it, then you've a silver or gold hammer, or -scythe. But... you don't need to. Just, don't do it
was about to comment the same!
on my current save file i only have copper tools and the skill that gives me seeds when harvesting/picking crops up. i flew to the dark island, picked everything until i had all the seeds i wanted and then immediately skedaddled again.
The sad thing is...you only need a single seed to multiply them! You give that seed to the herbalist and on the next day you can buy the seed at the store.
If...
you want to use the Somaria... uhh... Growing-Staff, then you need the scythe to multiply seeds. But... another feature, which everyone skips!>>
Hey quit speaking for all of us. The growing staff is amazing. You can speed level your agriculture and mass farm exp plants to level your spirits.
You aren't making any sense.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I think it is you who are not making sense to others.
Kind Regards.
K? Then explain me one thing:
Why should I grow a single seed into an EXP-fruit by using the Somaria- uh... Growing Staff, if you can simply plant seeds on the field, instead? For growing a single seed into a fruit it costs me 60 Stamina per fruit. That's compareably a lot considering that fruits normally heal 30-50 Stamina. Not to mention the time it costs.
So, where do I make no sense? Explain... I'm curious!
Thaaaat... is a preference-thing, too! If you claim in other threads that preference-things shouldn't be changed, then... you could say, it counts in this case, too!
And like Lucallia already stated...
by unlocking the seed-dropping farming skill, you don't need the Scythe-Upgrade for getting certain fruit-seeds. You just collect the fruits and with a 50% chance it drops seeds. You collect 2-3 fruts and get at least 1 seed.
Afterwards you sell that seed to the herbalist and on the next day you can buy those seeds.
