Unable to get Seeds?

Just wondering how one obtains seeds?
I've tried harvesting them to get seeds, but I can't seem to get a seed no matter what I do.

I had no problem in the tutorial, but going to other islands to acquire new seeds... Nothing seems to work.
Any tips?

Use the scythe. The tutorial had you cut the plants instead of harvesting them to get seeds.

Plucking a plant never gives you seeds. You have to do it in the way the tutorial showed you, with the scythe. Ready your scythe, and click the left mouse button as if you wanted to "attack" the plant.

I have indeed used my scythe to harvest them, but they just don't seem to want to be harvested with a scythe. >-<

If anyone else encounters this problem: I solved it by first googleing lots of tutorials and nothing helped so I waited and it turns out, stuff looks ripe for 2 days before it is actually ripe to harvest. Once you can just pluck it, you can also cut it down with your scythe and it will drop seeds. Finding out took me only 2 hours real time. :c

Ok there are three ways to get the plant seeds:

1) Cutting a ripe plant down with a scyth, some plants like those on the dark islands however can only be cut buy a high level scyth (moonstone grade). Which is not really recommended.

2) There is that statue in town where you can pick up the teleport flute. If you use the statue it spreads some sort of blessing? once a day.
After you did that you can pick up random items the next day. Just visit it every day and take the item and do that blessing. There is a chance to get a seed for an in season plant from it.

3) There is a skill in the skilltree that gives you a small chance to get a seed when you harvest a ripe plant. With this skill you just need to get to an island, search for a new plant, then save your game. Pick the new plant and reload, if you didn't get a seed. This works very well for the plants that can't be cut with a low level scyth.
