Looks like a homework or semester project of a student major in GameDev, I have seen 3 sterotypes of flight games:
1.You cannot move, just shoot anywhere on the screen, like a bomber tail gunner
2.You can move on the screen the shoot targets on the screen, like airplanes using a auto-nav with emergency maneuver mechanism.
3.You can fly anywhere and shoot anything you want, standard flight action games, it grant more free for players, but the content could be empty.
This game is the second type, I think it havent make full use of the track mechanism, or I should say, the quantity and quality of the major content do not match the type, it more likes a 3rd type indie game but with limit free-to-interact (you can fly anywhere)
