I hate rating this game down because I genuinely enjoyed it but it's been abandoned by the developers / studio leaving a lot of issues. Especially with the New Game + mode.

For context...

The game has a wide variety of weapons, armour, gem mods and combat layouts.
Each character has a specific weapon type and ability list fuelled by a gem functioning system.
If you've ever played FFVIII then you know what that means.

Armour can be hot swapped among characters but pay attention to the stats.
Your biggest grind will be fruits, materials and money.
Do NOT start New Game + until you've bought at least 10 of every end game material from the vendors.
You will lose access to those materials on a restart and will only be able to use what you've got.

The biggest pain you will ever know will be audio and display glitches.
However, be mindful that at a "certain point" in the game, you will be faced with some "junky" puzzles where you can only forefit to get past them as that's 1 of several on-going bugs that belongs in the "scrap yard"...

You'll figure it out.

For all those achievement hunting thrill seekers out there, after completing the main game and switching to NG+ you'll have a challenge for sure but it'll still be doable. Right until The Neckaroo Farm Flashback Fight.
That's where your dreams, and mine go to die.
You can't skip it. You can't beat it. It's Mandatory. And, It's, TORTURE.
The boss fight at current cannot be beaten simply because the scaling is off where the bosses movement speed and damage hasn't been balanced, they're just set to max. Literally. This is a recent glitch in terms of development updates. This fight was possible once upon a time but 1 of the patches broke the encounter and with development abandon this is unlikely to be fixed going forwards.

It's sad news for all Edge Hunters out there but alas, it is what it is.

As a huge fan of turn-based combat games, this one is very lackluster.

+Graphics are nice along with the environments
+Story isn't bad
+Not a bad variety of enemies.

~I didn't run into a ton, but there was definitely a non-negligible amount of bugs. I ran into one where a character disappeared for multiple fights including a boss fight that's apparently a common bug. If i was playing on anything other than easy I don't think I could've completed it.

-World is pretty empty even though it looks nice
-Crafting is skin deep, components are way too hard to find, and by the time you find them the item is usually useless
-Lots of running around to get from place to place and the fast travel system isnt great.
-Limited amount of spells/attacks and the way to get them is awkward at best.
-The crystal system sucks.
-Leveling up, everything is automatic. There are no builds. You cant make a character to do a certain thing/multiple things.
-Camera is terrible in fights. Many times I had to scroll over on the map, select my skill, then quickly select the enemy because they were out of range of the camera and selecting a skill centers it quickly on your character.
-Auto battle is terrible. Its pointless with how bad it is.
