If you have puzzles already on the wall before the update it is probably crashing when trying to create the bevel texture.
You can reset your room to default by doing the following:
First right click on game, go to properties, and turn off steam cloud (if you do not do this any changes will be reverted by steam cloud)
Next go to:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Jigsaw\Saved\SaveGames
And delete the settingsSave.sav file. This will revert your settings to default and set the default startup room to default (any manually saved rooms will still be there).
Now if you get the game to load go into video settings and turn down the "Puzzle Bevel Max Resolution" to the lowest setting and load a puzzle with a lot of pieces to see if it crashes.
If it still crashes you can disable it completely by setting "Puzzle Bevel Detail" to OFF, otherwise you may turn up the max resolution until you get to a setting your computer can't handle.
After you find out what your computer can handle you can then set the Wall Bevel max resolution and Detail options. Keep in mind the more puzzles on the wall the more VRAM you will need, so you might want to set detail to "OFF" for wall hangings and only keep it on for puzzles.
Let me know if you have any questions. I know this is a bit confusing, but basically it creates a bevel texture of a certain size (1k,2k,4k, etc) based on the Number Of Pieces. However this auto size chosen won't go above the max amount set, so that's why you should test with larger puzzles first.
I can't find the above folder and SaveGames and settingsSave.sav file.
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Jigsaw\Saved\SaveGames
I right-clicked on Steam windows Jigsaw Puzzle Dream and went to Browse folder.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jigsaw Puzzle Dreams
Still couldn't find the specific file. Is it ok if I uninstall and reinstall it?
You can get to appdata\local folder quick by opening windows start menu and typing
%LocalAppData%
and hit enter.
After that browse from there to Jigsaw\Saved\SaveGames to find the file.
