Hello! We're pleased to present another big new update with 1.5!

This update includes many new puzzle options and helpers including many community requests, a super cool new way to preview puzzles before you start, and a whole lot of other improvements and fixes across the game.

Let's get into it!

We've added a wide array of new helpful options to give players even more control when setting up puzzles. Leave a space for completing the puzzle, separate edge pieces out, align pieces to a grid, and more! You can mix and match options to get just the puzzling experience you're looking for.

These new additions can be found under Puzzle Options when selecting a new puzzle, with extra options found in the expandable HELPERS section.

Turning this on will generate your puzzle with all pieces around the edge or to the sides of the chosen Play Area, leaving a space in the center for assembling the puzzle. The amount of space given will change depending on puzzle size and Play Area chosen.

Choosing this option will set all edge pieces off to the side of the rest of the pieces.

Combining this option with "Leave Space for Puzzle" will place all edge pieces in the center space instead of being off to the side.

This option attempts to generate all pieces laying flat on the surface instead of overlapping on each other. Note that it will depend on the puzzle size and the chosen Play Area on how many pieces are able to avoid overlap.

This will generate your puzzle with all pieces orientated in the same direction which will avoid the need to make initial rotation adjustments when first sorting.

Note that this doesn't remove the random rotation of pieces, and so they won't necessarily be in the 'correct' orientation for solving the puzzle (use the Disable Rotation option for this).

Pieces will be generated in a nice tidy grid. Combine this with "Start Pieces Aligned 90°" for extreme tidiness!

An all new VIEW mode has been added when setting up a puzzle that will give you a preview of exactly how your puzzle will look before you get started.

The pieces preview will automatically update as you adjust puzzle size, options, and play area.

This will show you how much space the puzzle will take up when completed to help determine which Play Area will be best suited for your new puzzle session.

Going into this VIEW mode will let you move around and virtually 'hang' your completed puzzle in your room to let you see how your finished puzzle will look on the walls with your chosen size.

It should be particularly helpful for choosing just the right size of puzzle to align with a puzzle collection already on your wall, as well as for those attempting super large 10k+ puzzles to see which size fits best.

When browsing puzzles to hang on your walls the menu will now show you an icon to let you know which ones are already on display.

New edge scrolling options have been added to the Settings > Camera Options menu

• Always Edge Scroll

  This option will make it so that moving your mouse to the edges of your screen will always scroll your view (If this option isn't enabled edge scroll only happens if you have a piece in your hand).

• Always Lock Cursor to Screen

  This option won't allow your mouse cursor to escape outside of the game window. This can be useful in cases such as using multi-monitor setups to ensure the mouse will edge scroll the window instead of moving to another screen.

Puzzle timer now displays and is synced for everyone in a multiplayer game. This is still optional and won't display if you have Show Puzzle Timer toggled off in Settings.

When picking up the puzzle preview image it will no longer snap to the center of the mouse cursor. It now gets picked up precisely where you clicked to give more controlled movement.

We've added a new backup system for saves to help avoid the chances of loosing them due to corrupt files. Saves now create a backup copy of a game file before saving, then when loading it will try the backup if the original one fails. This will greatly reduce the chances of losing a puzzle due to a corrupt save.

• Load Puzzles menu now shows puzzles that currently have image unavailable.

• Wall hanging puzzle selection menu displays [c]Image Not Found[/c] if image has been removed or cannot be accessed currently.

• Currently hung puzzles on walls now display [c]Image Not Found[/c] placeholder for custom images when they're not available from steam workshop or image has been deleted.

• Fixed issue where drop single piece sometimes stopped working after dragging camera view.

• Clicking resume button while in settings now goes directly back to the puzzle.

• Lower floor is now ignored when using multi select. Allows selecting pieces that might have got stuck inside the floor.

• Fixed issue where customize cursor trails menu would always open main menu when closed.

• Fixed issue where customize cursor trails menu would go offscreen in taller monitors.

• Fixed issue where wall image resolution option was not getting saved.

• Increased time new chat message is shown by 2 seconds.

• Fixed issue where new chat message would instantly disappear if chat fadeout animation had already started.

• Camera and grab mode toggle messages are no longer hidden when HUD is toggled off (Ctrl-H).

• Fixed issue where menu buttons could still be clicked while puzzle is being created.

• Esc button now cancels puzzle creation instead of just opening menu when puzzle is being created.

• Added notification for when piece rotation is disabled and rotate key is pressed.

• When grabbing preview image it no longer snaps to the center of the mouse cursor.

• Puzzle timer now shows and is synced for everyone in multiplayer.

• Fixed issue where locked puzzle could be picked up using shift then ctrl click

• Made change that might fix issues relating to windows scaling settings.

• Fixed issue where you could click through the room save/load UI.

• Renamed puzzle option "Random Rotation" to "Disable Rotation". When Disable Rotation is enabled puzzle pieces will be fixed in the 'correct' orientation to solve the puzzle and cannot be rotated.
