Report a translation problem
The save files are located in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Jigsaw\Saved\SaveGames
If you could upload that folder I'll take a look and find the missing piece and see why the return to table isn't working. That button should work if it's not a table but might be in a place that's hidden but not counted as the "on table" area.

Move pieces to table takes the floor area and also above the floor area into account. I should probably not count the area that high above the floor as "the table" area. That's why it didn't work because it considers that part of the area of the floor you are working in.
As to how this happened, pieces only have physics for a short time before they are added back into the static main puzzle for performance. Occasionally if they bounce high enough or fall far enough (like when moving pieces to table button drops them) they run out of physics time before they can settle.
