Can you elaborate, I am curious.
My interest in shooters is almost none existent. Aside from Counter Strike 1.4, Doom 3 which I played over two decades ago nothing really dragged my attention unlike Returnal. I was very impressed by the visuals the moment I laid my eyes on the game play.
The moment I sat I instantly fell in love with the mechanics, dynamics, versatility, movement and the universe I was exploring. I had hard time shooting and killing since I had no prior experience, a friend of mine did better (since he was a Quake player) but it was still a challenge, at least until further progress.
Once I had the blade, I started to play close combat, utilizing invincibility frames on dash. Couple of days later we started to play co-op. That was about a year ago. I am currently still playing the game trying different builds, exploring different strategies. Regardless of 200 hours of play time from time to time randomly some foe appears and puts a hell of a challenge.
To fully enjoy the game, one must be able to carefully observe, adapt, take action in certain order to maximize benefits, make smart choices while choosing between Artifacts, Parasites, and weapons.
Once you understand how everything works, every element the real fun begins , with time patterns are developed and game feels still fresh, because you play it differently.
Dude, I have never (in my life) spent significant amount of time on any 3rd Person shooter. I generally never was attached to these type of games. I am more of a Fighting Game enthusiast.
Since I saw the game around year and half ago I knew immediately that I am going to like this game. I didnt know what the game was, nor what type.
I was (and still am) bad at precise aim with keyboard and mouse (since I never played these type of games) but the game was fascinating and I kept playing. When I unlocked the blade I started to focus on melee combat.
Fast forward - I keep playing this game on daily basis ever since. I currently have around 300h, and aiming to unlock everything, learn weapons, and playing around with foes with different approach. Sometimes I play co-op and its very fun.
So when I read that the game is too hard, and unfair I cant stop laughing. At age 40 I managed to overcome the challenge and have fun with it.
Nah they sold badly, so they try it on pc to get at least a bit money out of it.
I'd say it sold rather poorly.
Not that it deserves more, devs couldn't even be bothered to have a walk button on keyboard.
(No, I said walk, not jog, idiots.)
connoiseurs buy games like "sekiro" or "returnal"
