Armor recommendations for artifact hunting.
Going by titel, which armor/suite would be recommended in terms of protection and repair cost.
I got some spare ones in my stash and recently got my hands on the Diamond Exo, but i´m not sure if this one would be good choice in terms of repair cost´s.

I use SEVA + protection artifacts

yeah, just use some seva variant or some generic eco suit with high anomaly res, thats more than enough.

Armor recommendation? No armor, no weapons. Anomalies shred your equipment

Considering you have end-game suits ready, it would depend on what you upgraded. I only was swapping armors early in the game when I found SSP-99 Ecologist and generally used body armors such as Guardian of Freedom (PSZ-5V). When I switched to full-body suits such as Corundum, I stopped swapping armors. This was partially because of artifacts slots as those advanced suits have a lot more artifacts slots and some of them are lead-painted containers as well.

More important for artifact hunting would be your artifacts. Weird Bolt would be your best general choice. You want to have specific artifacts providing protection from anomalies you are entering. I always carry and use Liquid Rock and Hypercube, which covers chemical and thermal protection.

i just go in with the sunrise suit, and prior to that, the marauder suit

it honestly varies depending on what anomalies you're entering, as long as you've got your bolts for electric anomalies and gravitational anomalies it shouldn't be an issue, chemical anomalies you just avoid the puddles, fire anomalies are the ones you will likely damage your suit

if you're worried about repairs, go to a gravitational anomaly get a spring (or similar) that gives you more carrying capacity and pick up as much ♥♥♥♥ as you can and sell it, had no troubles so far, also do side quests

Pretty much this. Saves a ton on repairs. Any slotted items that can take damage do take damage. Putting your weapons in your back pack saves a lot in repairs.
Upgraded Operator exo with slug, fireball, jellyfish and horn in the slots.

Roll around wit that all the time and pretty much every environmental hazard becomes a non issue. Except for psi, but Id imagine theres an artifact that ups that.
Plus, its basically bullet proof, so lol.

Outside of that, ecologist sets. But the ones ive found have no physical protection
Before anyone says "repair costs" a 25 stack of orange medkits sell for 10k
Theyre everywhere, its the games second currency, everytime I come back from a explore run I sell half the stack I got while out and it becomes super easy to maintain expensive armors.

(I can give you a hint on where you might find it, dunno if its a constant spawn or not)

Can any anomaly even instakill without protection? Never tested it.

Gravitational and electric ones can. You can easily tank through thermal and chemical ones.

Found one called Wanderer Suit in the swamps, haven't found a better armor yet but it appears to be a custom SEVA suit.

Did find an exoskeleton earlier but hated how I can't sprint with it on, went back to using the Wanderer Suit.

The one thing that really helped with artifact hunting for me was getting the Veles scanner, it has a small screen that shows hazardous anomalies as well as the artifact location, makes it very easy to find the path to the artifact.
