Seems like a lot of Stalker fans are blindly supporting the developer despite this game's issues
I'm definitely happy that the developer made a new Stalker game and want to be supportive. However, the game does have glaring issues related to the lack of A-Life and broken spawn system. Not to mention the bugs. The issues were noticeable enough, that the developer even removed "A-Life 2.0" from their description of the game.

However, I see a lot of people who complain about these issues get called out as "whiners". Honestly, do players really enjoy the maps being this empty, and having a spawn system limited to an 80m range from the player, coupled with broken AI? I wanted to like the game more than I do, and hopefully the core issues will be fixed in time, but I'm honestly suprised that, in its current state, this game has a Very Positive rating on Steam.

Just my take on this whole thing. I've been gaming since the 1980's, when most games came in a box and you got what you got. Online gaming gave us fixes, which are great. Now we have a bunch of entitled folks who believe that every game should be flawless and perfect, exactly the way they envisioned it to be. Guess what folks? That isn't life. I have played every major AAA game ever released, most from release, and not a single one has ever been perfect. Matter of fact, they are still applying fixes to the ones that are still viable. I played the first three in this series, loved them, got 200 hours into this one, love it. Bugs? Yep, Glitches? Yep. Memory Leaks? Yep. But it's still Stalker 2 and it's a great game. What most of the complaints come down to, is that those complaining have absolutely no idea of what effort is required to produce a game of this level. There are tens of thousands of lines of code, there's no mod maker you point and click to write this stuff, it requires typing out exceptionally long strings of code. SO get over it folks, enjoy what you got, eagerly await the fixes, then enjoy some more, instead brow beating the hard workers who put it together for your enjoyment.
Nobody's asking for perfection, just playability and stability. If you've really been gaming since the 80s as you say, which I doubt from your immature take, you'd understand this. Plus the "yOu DoN't KnOw GaMe Dev" bit really just shows you're a troll or an apologist who hates criticism.

People paid for a finished product and they didn't get it. You're calling people who are literally entitled to a finished product whiners because they didn't get what they paid for.

As an aside, I've noticed far too many people misusing the word "entitled" in place of "self-entitled" and it bothers me to no end. Self-entitlement is expecting something you don't deserve. Entitlement is getting what you paid for or something that you do deserve.

I have two quick requests:

1. What exactly did Dimar say that you believe is immature?

2. Use your interpretation of the word "entitled" in a sentence.

I will think about it while I play.

There is a big difference between "blind faith" and spreading lies. it's been stated by dozens of times now directly by the development team that the removal of the brand name "A-life 2.0" was an unapproved decision by the marketing team.

Can you show us an official statement on that?

As for the disappearance of any mention of A-Life 2.0 from Stalker 2's Steam page, creative director Maria Grygorovych tells IGN that this happened because of an innocuous conversation with someone on the marketing team. "He told me there will be a lot of new players who don’t know what A-Life is. They need to understand what we’re talking about in this description. So I will try to change it to a more understandable form," Maria explains.

"He did that without any discussion or permission," Maria continues. "He didn’t ask, ‘Do we have some bugs with A-Life or something?’ Because we had. We knew that. It’s a really huge and difficult system. But, when he did that before release, it was a surprise for me, because I noticed it because of Reddit. We did the Steam page in 2021. So for me, I was shocked, honestly."

Interesting observations, OP.

I'm a lonnnnnng-time STALKER fan. But I won't deny that this game is very lacking.

One reason and one reason only.

GAMES CONSOLE.

Strange, not that I'm using the older games as an excuse. But they began as PC exclusives and were even buggier. It's almost as it makes no difference if it was developed with consoles in mind.

Supposedly part of the reason the A-Life was cut is because the consoles couldn't handle it. Regardless, I hope it makes it back to the PC version.

That's a MAJOR reason, actually. Consoles are so outdated right now...

Well, technically their hardware is already outdated the first day they start rolling off the assembly line. They can't keep up with PCs and having cross-platform releases is going to quickly become a thing of the past.

It can't happen fast ENOUGH, in my opinion...

Elaborate.
As an example. In SoC, the Plant was a bandit base with engaging firefights that spanned multiple areas of the building complex. In this game, it is completely empty except for a story mission, and even then, you only have to kill a handful of bandits in a small area of the Plant. The rest of the Plant is still empty.

This sets the tone for most of the game.

You are absolutely correct.
SoC had the bandits taking over the 'Plant', with its famous 'grain silo'. Now I can't remember the Boss' name, because modded versions had a Boss up in that small office too and I get muddled up with names, but yeah, one Boss had a pistol that you could swag from him there, and another had a Duty member kidnapped and held prisoner in the basement.. Good old scripted stuff too. Worked fine.

Clear Sky saw the 'Plant' become the Freedom base. But I think they were all too stoned to do much with it.

STALKER 2, the Plant is, once again, seemingly held by another bandit 'gang'.. but I completely agree, 90% of the place is empty, with 1 or 2 NPCs stood at the entrances, and like 4 or 5 including the boss all crammed into one room of the whole place. IT LOOKS as though there's a technician's bench in there.. a trading area, but for some reason nothing much is going on...

hrm.. the gaming industry has changed a lot since 2007... Now we have updates and the dreadded nickle-n-dime DLC BLEAGHHH!

I mean look what they've done to the great LNPP reactor 4... PAYWALL.

Looks like the AAA dark-side Siths have gotten hold of GSC...

Sound familiar?

MORE SPOILERS!

Yeah... see how annoying that is when you go from thread to thread whinging on and on about spoilers that you're purposely reading?

And then you turn around and do the same thing?

Kinda hypocrisy, don't ya think?
