Exactly how does this game have "Very Positive"?
I'm not a clown farmer, check my profile, I have more than enough awards from reviews already.

I'm astonished at how this game has the current rating. I can't fathom it.

I played all 3 stalker games multiple times, vanilla and modded. I know everything about them there is to know.

This one is a downgrade.

Sure, the graphics are impressive, the story might be a notch up compared to Clear Sky and Prypiat (but not Shadow of Chernobyl) and the quality of life is up with modern standards.

Everything else is not.

The so much advertised A Life 2.0 system either doesn't exist or is broken to the point of not existing in practical terms. Stalker fans surely would have noticed how your character is in a time bubble where everything spawns in a certain radius around him, and nothing else changes except for main story events.

No locations are took over by mutants, bandits or factions conflict. Look far away with a sniper scope and you'll see no herds of mutants roaming, or patrols, or random spawns of NPCs like in the old games. Everything is deasolate in the wrongest possible way.

Every X time at Y distance from you a random set of NPCs is spawned, then they can be hostile, neutral or friendly, and interact with each other or you only because of combat if combat happens at all.

Locations rarely give you anything worth your time and feel too similar to each other, the open world is bloated to hell and back, sacrificing quality for quantity. Very few locations actually have unique, meaningful, interesting encounters or any notable loot. For every place that gives you a worthy weapon, armor or artifact, you'll slog through two dozen places that award you stashes barely worth anything.

The economy is a mess, with repair costs bogging you down until late game, and then some. Artifacts sell for a pittance, quests give miserable rewards, all the weapons you loot from enemies are stock, broken and barely have any ammo in them. The excitement of killing an enemy patrol, or some loner, and wondering if they might have anything good on them is gone: all NPCs, unless story-related or location-related (pre-spawned), have the same garbage on them all the time.

Enemy AI is basic and uninteresting. They had better tactics and variety in the old games, games that came out 10+ years ago.

The bugs later in the game are tremendous and even affect important quests, but this was expected from this developer, so this one I had anticipated.

Overall this feels like a downgrade from the VANILLA versions of the old games in most fields. Not modded, vanilla. I am not gonna compare GAMMA, ANOMALY and so on because they're mods, so that wouldn't count.

This has very positive? How? Maybe this is your first STALKER, or maybe you wanted STALKER again so badly you ordered copium on amazon for the Black friday sale. For me, a complete disappointment.

To leave a review you need to own the game which means you needed to spend 60 American dollars. A significant amount of people feel the need to justify their mistakes so they leave a positive review in an attempt to trick themselves into thinking they didn't waste $60 on something that's 1/3rd finished.

You need to come to terms with the fact that gamers are largely slop enjoyers. The industry will never improve because the people who pay for games don't deserve better.

Because people as always rate the game based on early hours to get attention as fast as possible. So if you ignore all of those "i played 2h and this is GOTY" players, reviews would look much worse even based on late game content which is a complete bugfest and we don't talk about A-Life, what is completly broken/unfinished atm.
I've seen many comments that were OPENLY saying they were giving it a higher rating as some charity. Letting stuff wrong with it slide and saying people should be thankful for what appeared as they were some sort of victims and so everything they make and sell as products must be praised and said to be perfect game of the year., which of course is just a roundabout way of saying you're willing to lie.
Reverse review-bomb, where I see the reason and appreciate the sentiment, it takes away from the validity of the review system. No better than "Games bad cuz Russia/China".
50m in and I'd like a refund due to several issues, this is the first time Steam hasn't refunded me within a day, why?
the bad AI, missing and fake marketing AI 2, spawning in enemy just like that and all the bugs are pretty good point to give a thumbs up buddy
Consoomers gonna consooooom

I find it funny that people are this assmad over the fact that a company known for producing broken buggy products has produced a broken buggy product that is positively reviewed by fans who were expecting a buggy broken mess of a product.

Not every location should have exoskeletons, right? But a lot of locations have actually good loot. Armors, schematics, etc. Some locations have mini quests, some have mini stories, some have mini puzzle games with parkour, keys, etc.
Since you are comparing with originals, I don't remember in OG every possible location was super loot rich. This doesn't make any sense. You have to explore to find something valuable.
A-life didn't really begin until Clear Sky, and THAT was a broken mess. On disc before the days of hot fixes - good luck with that one. A-life really was implemented for CoP, and yeah it was awesome. Anyone thinking that it was any different have only played rereleased and modded games.

In the original SoC you couldn't sleep. Ever.

For me personally, it's because steam doesn't have a mixed review option, and I 51% enjoyed the game and 49% was frustrated with it. So I left a positive review, but with a PILE of caveats. It's also because I know the game has potential and WILL be incredible with patches and mods. Doesn't excuse the state it came out in but I'm still excited for its future.
It's being driven by new people to STALKER. To all the new people its a good game because it's essentially just a far cry game without any kind of functioning A-life in the game.

The zone is NOTHING like how the zone is supposed to be in a STALKER game. In a real STALKER game you are nothing in the zone and the zone functions with or without you. In this game the zone revolves around you in a 50m bubble. New players to STALKER just dont know any better so they think the game is good.

A-life is meaningless to most players. I never played the first one and didn't follow the games development so not having a-life means nothing to me.
The game has its issues sure, but i'm sure most players are new to the series and have nothing to base this game off of. To a new player like me, while it isn't perfect, it still has a lot to offer.

I think with such comments u just trying justify your existence)
ngl to you bud. its hard to imagine an actual stalker "fan" hates a buggy game. i remember my first playthroughs of all the games. they were all like this. i like this game, is it perfect? no. but good lord the shear amount of content is more than all three games combined. most people didn't even PLAY clear sky. and clear sky is a buggy NIGHTMARE. CoP was the closest thing to a stable game they ever got. at least it isnt micro-transactioned to hell. I paid for a game and i got the game. i only miss out on a few weapons because i didn't buy the deluxe supreme whatever edition. i dont have to buy a season pass. my account isnt subscription pay walled. i dont have to hear mil-♥♥♥♥♥♥ stroking micro peen over COD spec op narratives. im hella happy rn. i haven't even BEATEN the game yet because im using the online database map to go over it with a fine pick comb. im finding stashes and rare gear in early zones. im selling gear and making bank. are you like? only doing the story mode and not looking around? have you dont the scanner challenges yet? have you done any side quests and challenges?
