Enemy AI is awful or do I expect too much?
I'm playing on the Gamepass version but since that don't have discussion section so here I am.

Is everyone notice the same thing as I do:
  • Enemies always know where you are once they've alerted even though they don't have line of sight.
  • Enemies have pinpoint accuracy.
  • Human enemies are bullet sponge if they don't get head shotted. (Medium difficulty)
  • They bark some smart thing like "I'm flanking" but they never do it.
  • They have long range, 360 degree perfect predator's vision which see through walls and thick foliage.
  • They immediately see you as a threat even if you're wearing the same uniform as them and crouching at 200 meters away.
  • They can hit you through a few pixels gap or sometimes through a whole walls.

These are the list that I spot in the first 3 hours of playing.

They really are ridiculous. Once they tracked me through wall no matter where I move. I saw them because their rifle poke through the wall. And they can see me from 100 meters away even when I'm sneaking AND they have their back to me in the dark through some bushes.

Am I hallucinate or is it just Gamepass's version problem? Since I don't really see much people talk about this.

Read the news, GSC has to get the AI to work, it's just scripts at the moment...

I don't see said news. I only see 1M copies sold celebration and the launch celebration which only mention there may be "some rough around the edge". Can you provide me the link?

No, flanking enemies is pretty easy and they do not expect new angle

Yes, and it's great.

Lots of folks are talking about it mostly under how "alife 2" is broken. Mods are already trying to alleviate some of these issues check Nexus.

With WH they always know where you are and even send you nades. Only way to ''break'' it is to crouch time to time so the broken ''stealth'' system break thier WH.
Also defending 100% aim bot and boosting enemies HP and calling it GREAT - ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as well. People like you are the very reason, why AI development is at zero right now , since people like you are fine with eating ♥♥♥♥ and have 0 need for quality AI

GSC managed to create a worse AI itteration than BSG. Hell, BSG's current NPC routines are more akin to STALKER's original A-life than what's in STALKER 2.

A-life is not just broken. The logic behind it is fundamentally flawed. GSC literally stated that the new itteration of A-life is a dynamic NPC spawner.

I'm paraphrasing here but they've explained it as a spawning system that will spawn enemies out of your sight based on context. That's not A-life and it's an insult to what the original team created a decade and then some ago.

This never worked for me. I tried every angles and they always already point at where I'll lean out. They even shoot walls before I arrived.

Even tho they do that with a makarov at 100 meters away?

Because their a lot of times that you fight multiple enemies at once and they sometimes take an entire mag to just down one I can only assume you like it unfair toward you.
But is it really a good thing?

It's really funny bc I end up with 27 AK when I'm done with that since they keep spawning.

From my experience elevation makes the AI director go nuts. Every time i Descend or ascend using ladders squads rain on me. If my PC could run this game and capture clips at the same time without the GPU trying to hang itself I'd film it.

Maybe that's why. iirc I also on the pipe or on the roof a lot of times they spawn.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll stop playing for now though. I hope it get fixed in the near future and I'll will come back, buy it on steam and try it out since modding on gamepass is a pain. lol
