Why are distant trees so pixelated and grainy?
running an intel I7
Nvidia 4070
32GB ram

I have the GOG version but there is no support on that forum. Its not my system but there has to be a setting to improve distant scenery somehow? It looks badly pixelated and grainy even on far distance and settings mostly on high.

Problem in linked image below.

are you using dlss upscaling ? it looks like that when you don't, looked the same for me as i don't tend to use upscaling but had to put it on to make the game look better

Tweak with the setting a bit. Epic settings? DLSS on ultra? Sharpness level?

I think some of that should help.

Because you turned off TAA and turned sharpness to %100
I have dlss on and sharp is default 20%. no upscaling and i am at 1920x1200 (default monitor) Everything is on high.

Fixed it, seems dlss had somehow gotten disabled in last save.
