What is better? STALKER 2 or G.A.M.M.A. mod
in terms of gun play and immersion?

What's "Gamma"? Is that a mod for something?

It's a modpack. Anomaly is a modpack for the previous stalker games that merge together all maps in a single game and to create a huge sandbox, GAMMA are a bunch of plugins curated and developed on top of Anomaly to add more micromanagement and indepth survival elements.

Interesting. Which game is it for and where is it hosted?

Sorry, I'm at the gym so I can't look it up. I'm dictating through Siri. You should see the looks I'm getting.

EDIT: I can look it up when I get home. Thanks for the response.

It's on moddb.com, you can download Anomaly there, it's standalone so all you have to do is download unzip and play. GAMMA they have a discord where you can download it.

For GAMMA you can get the discord link here and install on top of Anomaly. I woud recommend you play Anomaly first and get used to it and see if you enjoy because GAMMA is much more extra about everything, you can't buy weapons for instance, only find and repair stuff

What crack have you been smoking?

True, I still place Autum Aurora or OGSR on top of the list.

As a casual fan (I play master on the og trilogy but that's the intended difficulty) I do enjoy Stalker 2 a lot more despite it's myriad problems.

I tried gamma, went loner, lowest difficulty, bought some armour, weapons, meds, and the tutorial fight put me up against a pile of zombies that kept getting back up, multiple boars and multiple dogs, all as my first combat, and I kept getting one-shot by whatever attacked me.

I knew Gamma was supposed to be hardcore but it was way too much for me lol. I've been recommended Anomaly as maybe a stepping stone.

Anomaly is much easier at first, BUT if you want to make it easier, just talk with Wolf, his first mission always involving escorting two stalkers, you don't have to complete that mission early, meaning you have two companions for as long as you finish their quest or keep them alive. Even in GAMMA you can do it.

You realize GAMMA is a not a game right? It's a modpack that took hundreds if not thousands of people to create. The dude who made GAMMA made a few mods, and put together hundreds of others. More people deserve credit for GAMMA.

I don't know how big S2's dev team is, but I know it isn't nearly as large as GAMMA's.

Millions, it took Millions, maybe even Billions of People.

I see a lot of people complaining about the inventory management in GAMMA. I, for one, really enjoy it. For me it's part of the fun. I really enjoy the role play in truly preparing for a long outing and the punishment in under preparing - and the haphazard solutions you have to come up with in a pinch to get out of an intense firefight! Pack enough mags with the right ammo for different tasks, pack enough food (or the gear to cook some if you're the type that likes to hunt on the fly) and water, some batteries and pack enough meds..! Oh, and also various repair kits, of course. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I love GAMMA. Yes, it's kinda complicated and there's no help in-game. You have to ask a lot of questions on the GAMMA discord and there are mostly trolls in there so that's a challenge but there ARE helpful people too (and the chat bot is pretty great too). Give GAMMA a fair shot, have patience with the systems and it'll reward you like you've never been rewarded in a game before. Get ready for some SUPER intense gun fights and absolutely awesome explosion animations...!! Seeing Monolithians go flying upside down into a wall after being blasted by an F1 grenade will NEVER get boring..!!

STALKER 2 has a lot of potential but is broken for tonnes of people as of now. It is gorgeous, though. Those tornadoes and that lightning....!!

The whole point of "its too complicated" is moot, since you can pick and choose parts of it you want and you do not want in your game, for that matter there is a lot of other very good mod packs each entertaining different approach to STALKER gameplay, when people say GAMMA is better it should be understood as: moded OG STALKER is better than STALKER 2.

Non of them. Go and play the Custom Anomaly mod pack instead.
