We can not choose a dub with accent, only original or eng (and some other languages).
So for the best immersion we probably gonna need to choose original with subtitles.
Sure hope the Ukrainian dub is decent, though.
Hey! That is the decision made long time ago. I got you that in your case english VO sounds a bit immerse-breaking, but you will be able to switch to Ukrainian VO. And personally I like the english VO. But who cares about my opinion :)
This isn't the reason, STALKER was always targeting the western playerbase from the start. Back then it was THQ, an American company, now it's Microsoft, yet again an American company.
This is the exact same scenario as THQ. Lots of money being invested, influencing the development and so on, no difference. I think there's no point arguing about "why" when what's done is done. They went with the accents and I think it was a mistake.
People keep making nonsensical comments like "The fake Russian accents are immersion breaking" Well, I guess your immersion won't be broken now when we have people speaking with British accents, British actors trying to speak American English or pure, tough guy American dude bro stalkers roaming around the Zone.
The official gameplay trailer that came out three months ago was awful in that regard.
"Y'all come on down to Chernobyl, hear!"
