Salvage wrecks
I think there should be an option to turn the hook. Q/E I assume would do. AS it is at the moment, it's can be really tricky to get the hook under the bars.
Maybe some people dislike this idea, then it could be tied to difficulty. Either, easy, or medium.
I mean there is already a challenge in some to get past the Jellyfish/Sharks/Whirlpools? ( or are they just Tornadoes - Sharknado's lol).

My only problem with the salvaging wrecks is it feels like there's an invisible wall were u need to hook, which makes it annoying to do. Also Idk if its just me but I can't tell the position of the fish until a box is pretty much right next to them.

So true. I just wait until there a big gap, or try to move the box ahead of them. The worst are the dive bombing sharks that charge at the box. Very hard to dodge!

I wish it was faster to reel up, doing a bunch in row can be tedious work.

The salvage needs some work, it's pretty furstrating and time consuming, an upgradre to be able to rotate the hook or something would be great!

It's really frustrating, especially when you finally manage to hook up the cargo and watch it being destroyed.
Usually if there is a threat - players should have a counter-measure. The speed of the winch is not enough to avoid those threats effectively.

Yes, it's a pity that you cannot invest more effort to avoid cage losses.

I thought the same as you lot but it just takes practice. Drag the hook in the sand for small crate and for the larger crates drop the hook between the bars. To avoid the sharks/jellyfish, move your hook to the bottom of the screen, when the larger shark and or jellyfish pass move the hook to right and up.
For the medium crate it helps if you knock it over on its side first.

I think salvaging needs more rewards, like being able to fish up materials and crates with ingredients or booze in them, as well as recipes, plane parts, and gold.

I also think fishing should be something you can do anywhere you can drop anchor, and we should be able to drop bigger fishing cages.

Something nice, would be able to upgrade to a 3 hook grapple, the 2 hook is tricky, but not impossible.

Those are some good suggestions for the salvage rewards, upgrading to a different hook design is an interesting idea, we'd have to do some testing to see if it actually made things easier.

We did actually plan to have a separate fishing minigame but unfortunately did not have enough time to make it.

Could you nerf the stupid cage wrecking sharks also somehow? It seems not funny and is just a haha-bad joke somehow. For example, instead of crashing the cage just drop it to the ground?

Hmm I wonder about reducing the threats for easy difficulty or something like that.

I finally got the hand of waiting for an opening and dragging the box away from enemies as it's going up. It's tricky, but doable as it is. Maybe looser thresholds on destruction of crates with each difficulty level.

Yes, I noticed it's can be painful, try avoid cargo get hit, but those shark is very sneaking, they just quick turn and hit my cargo while I try to hurry up, all those time lost and no reward. so it's feel like tense rather than feeling fun to play. I guess it's need more speed pull up and down, move left and right, and yes, I do feel reward need more, it's would be better like recipes and gold together or recipes and blueprint, till player are already collect all max recipes, and blueprint, then player get bigger gold after all max out recipes and blueprint, or gold and rare resource like hot pepper or coffen bean or something like that.

I actually like salvaging a lot as it is. But rotating the anker does sound like sth intuitive.
