Pelican and Pipe Beer contract, how do?

Okay so I have a contract with the Pelican and Pipe to make Beer.

The recipe, (which the bar tender gives) calls for making beer using Prickly Wheat, which I follow.

The game then tells me that it will make beer if I select the Ferment option. Yet every time it comes out as larger.

Either I'm missing something or the recipe is bugged I don't know. whichever it is, I'm unable to complete the contract.

Larger is a type of beer.

True, but the game is making a clear distinction. The contract asks for Beer, not larger, which isn't excepted by the contract.

Are you just assuming that? The different alcohol types have a different icon so you can check if it's the same. There isn't even a lager type if you check the bar, it's Beer Cider, Mead, Wine, Vodka, Rum, Brandy and Whisky. Each type has a ferment & distill option. if you tried it and it didn't work you have a bug

Thanks. like you said its larger he wants, but the contract tracker on the hud didn't update which tripped me up.

If you look at the recipe it says "Ferment - Beer" under the Bland prickly Lager.
Just Look for that when making a recipe.
