Nope, I tried and it fails repeatedly because the update/download server disconnects
Faulting application name: WaveConsole.exe,
there is another file mentioned. in my case: Faulting module name: amdlvr64.dll
thats part of my AMD chipset driver. specifically the onchip video driver (which i dont use and dont care about) - reinstall whatever contains that file.
This problem can be caused by the amdlvr64.dll file. Try reinstall the chipset drivers for the motherboard, or rollback to previous.
I confirmed that was it with multiple back-and-forth tests.
-keep integrated graphics enabled on the BIOS
-open device manager so I could see both graphics cards enabled (keep the device manager window open!)
-turn on the vive pro 2 headset wireless
-launch vive console -> and it should load... says searching for headset, check cables connected etc etc
-BEFORE it finds the headset i quickly disable the integrated graphics on device manager (right click and disable, in popup window click ok)
-then steam VR connects and i can play
very annoying having to keep integrated GFX enabled at all!
