Assuming you mean the recently discontinued square face tracker that fits on the VP/VPE/VP2, that thing needs quite some usb bandwith. If it's delayed or lagging, usually this means the USB port you are using is not high-enough bandwith (make sure the linkbox is connected to a high-speed usb connector on your PC, USB 2.0 is not enough, use at least USB 3.0).
If this does not fix it for you, there might be some issue with your All-in-one headset cable itself, that's also a common issue. in that case, test the face tracker by plugging it into a different USB connection (USB-C extender or directly into your PC's usb-c if available), if that fixes the issue, you want a new All-in-one cable to go with your headset.
Hello there, some time passed indeed but thank you for your reply
to let you know I have fixed this by connecting the tracker to PC directly using USB-C extender, as that have fixed it for me but too many wires connected to my headset for me made my play such a pain so I stopped using the tracker at once, as it suppose to work when linked to the headset itself as marketed and I will be selling it soon, as much as I loved this product they disappointed me as much too
It does work with the USB-C on the headsets just fine if there is nothing interefering with the USB bandwith. Since the tracker is fine when you directly plug it in using a extender, you have to look at your headset for being the issue.
Again, it's known that when a All-in-one headset cable (the one from linkbox to your headset) starts to degrade, the first thing that gets issues is Facetracking and Eyetracking (in case of the VPE). You could propably use it if you swapped the All-in-one cable from your headset with a new one (they are pricy, I know). You should also double check if your Linkbox is connected to a highspeed USB port, since plugging it into a USB 2.0 will cause the exact same problem for the facetracker.
This is almost certainly something on hardware level that *should* work, but for some reason is not. And it's almost certainly not a software issue since the tracker seems fine when using a extender.
Facetracking delays are the first sign of a dying or degrading All-in-one cable, or using the wrong usb port. VRChatFaceTracking mentions this pretty clearly on their SRanipal setup page too.
Either way, If you do plan on getting a different headset, keep in mind the square face tracker is not limited to vive headsets (and that makes it unique, especially now that it's discontinued). There's people that use it on the Valve Index and I even got a friend that uses it on a Varjo Aero. I've also seen quest users with one.
