Stardew Valley assets?

This game looks identical to Stardew Valley, how is this allowed?

I was thinking the same thing, it looks great don't get me wrong. But it looks almost identical to Stardew Valley's assets. Especially in the farm and the house. Probably changed ever so slightly to avoid legal repercussions maybe?

All pixel art is Stardew Valley? i don't think will get banned for copyright. Also, better have mani versions (various)

Honestly these developers stealing everything from buildings to characters is disgusting and when called out by fans decided to become hostile towards them instead of admitting the stolen work.
Since then they have re-designed some of the assets but I will NEVER purchase from a developer who steals from others.

This is exactly how I feel. I just found out about all this two days ago and have since looked into it myself. I sent a picture of the game from back then to someone I know who has played but I knew wasn't aware of this. I asked him what he thought and he asked me what I meant. I then asked him what game this screen shot was from. He said SDV. I would have thought the same. Even if they didn't "copy" the assests, they piggy-backed items off of SDV's fame to get their game noticed. With my great respect for Eric and the love I hold for SDV, I won't have anything to do with this game. Such a shame. It looks like it could have been fun.

Stardew is inspired by Harvest Moon SNES

Same way that Stardew Valley took basically everything from the original Harvest Moon and then added onto it.

Devs.. If your game is good, then make it your own.. Dont make it a cheap copy. I thought this was another game by ConcernedApe.. Not to mention your responses to people concerned about this is less than Professional.

Because this developer is exploiting the fact that it wouldn't be in ConcernedApe's (Stardew Valley's creator) best interest to sue. Any controversy would just be free publicity for this developer. Many judges have a poor understanding of the gaming industry, giving more power to the lawyers. This can make lawsuits in the gaming industry very expensive with no clear outcomes.
Besides, it's not ConcernedApe's personality to get lawyers involved. He's been extremely supportive of other developers creating games "inspired" by his. He did say he thinks this developer has "taken it a little too far" (they obviously have). I doubt he will do much more than that.

Actually most pixel art is distinguishable from artist to artist. Hyper Light Drifter, Lisa, Stardew Valley, Omori, Undertale... all different.
Some pixel art is similar, but it's pretty obvious when something is copy/pasted or simply stolen (like this game's art).

I showed my hubby the trailer, all I told him was that it was a new game that's gonna come out maybe next year. I told him to tell me what he thought about it and he legit started laughing, he then proceeded to tell me that it's a blatant rip off of SDV.

The game looks cute and it looks like it would be fun, but it does look like SDV so much that if one didn't know better they'd think it was DLC for SDV or something.

The game looks amazing! And Stardew Valley looks like Chrono Trigger, Harvest Moon and many more. And thats no problem!
