Does using a star fragment to summon an NPC specter reduce the number of souls (Ergo?) gained?
Title.
I am having trouble with a boss, and I'm tempted to summon the NPC to help me. But I don't know if it reduces the number of souls gained from defeating the boss. Can anybody answer this question for me? I tried googling it and I just get unhelpful results.

No it doesn’t, nothing in the tips/game suggests you lose anything from summoning the Spector for boss fights. Like any other souls-like, it’s easier since the boss don't get extra health either.
