Sophia, am I screwed? {spoilers}
Got to the end with high humanity and was blindsided by the decision to save Sophia since I didn't look it up beforehand. I chose to keep her alive (because it was on the left side*), I walk into the next room, and then Gemini informs that she died anyway.

I panic since I get a hunch something just happened and Google it, only to find out that apparently if I don't give Sophia peace, I'm immediately locked out the good ending. That is so much BS. Is it really just gone, or is there a way to revert my save or something? :steamsad:

*For context, every single lie/human decision in my game, including the riddles, was on the left side up to this point, so I thought there was a pattern.

I put extra effort into getting this ending, that's all. Wanting a specific ending doesn't have to have anything to do with achievement hunting.

I chose to end her suffering because no living creature should suffer from pain, just to keep them "alive" if you can even call that living.
It was on the left side. I mean, I can come up with a better reason, if you want:

- I'm not a proponent of euthanasia in real life, so I think the idea of forcing that decision with the pretext of punishing the player if they do otherwise is really messed up, and I don't like having that kind of worldview pushed on me.
- The level of pain she was in didn't seem apparent considering how she acted for the majority of the game.
- Saving Antonia did, in fact, work out well.
- Delaying the decision and making it later seems like a valid choice considering I hadn't explored any of the rest of the area, and killing someone later was something they let you do to Alidoro.
- The decision itself didn't seem important since either one is a "human" decision, neither one is a lie. She also dies immediately afterwards regardless.
- You were at the heart of the alchemists' base, you were close to killing their leader, and you control the gold coin tree. It's not completely out of the realm of possibility that a cure could come up.

Disclaimer:
None of these were actually the reason I chose not to kill her, though I think they sound pretty good.
Understandable and thank you for taking your time :)

The ending has no significant impact on the game unless you give the heart to Geppetto.
If you're concerned about achievements, it shouldn't be a big deal since you'll need to clear it at least 3 times.
It shouldn't be difficult to accept the consequences of your choices.

*sigh*

Then you missed or failed some humanity options. I didnt give her peace and still obtained the weapon. She was pretty much the only humanity choice I didn't pass due to not knowing she immediately dies either way with only one option rewarding you.

I got the golden lie before the final area, it's based on how much humanity you have. You get humanity from lies and listening to the songs.

Oh, weird then. I lied on every choice, got up to "your heart is beating", and I listened to about 7 records and finished the quest lines for Venigni, Polindina, Eugenie, and several random NPCs, but even though the stick looked like the full weapon it wouldn't let me grab it. I'd have to scour a list to see what I missed. :lunar2019deadpanpig:

I imagine you have to lie specifically as per the theme a certain amount of times for the weapon length to max out, and the rest is humanity points like record players or certain actions like praying at the statue or the last memory on the island. I've seen people say they needed to get "Your heart is pounding" 3 times before the weapon is available, but other people have said otherwise as well so idk.

Some things to note as they influence you getting it :
- During Eugenia's line, you need to tell her that Alidoro was just some rando Stalker
- You need to also kill him as "That's very human of you"
- Can try praying in front of the statue (Chapel Stargazer where Giangio is for a bit)
- After you beat the last boss, you can try playing the Piano again; you can only get the "perfect melody" in post-game and I am not sure if it adds to your stat-line (but worth the shot)
- Telling Simon "You are designing a cure" instead of calling him out for making monsters
- Tell that random other NPC that waits by the stairs her "Partner" died fighting puppets

Can't think of any others off the top of my head right now though. The two play-throughs I did where pretty much "lie cheat and deceive" except I helped the Red Fox/Black Cat whenever they needed the Gold Fruit - and both times it was only available around the time I made this very decision (let Sophia die or kill her).

You'll know it's ready as it pulses with a golden glow (have something like 5-7 leaves sprouting off the end and extends to roughly just above the clutter in-front of it).

Chose wrong on Simon, which probably made-or-broke it since if the 3-pounds thing is true, I was only 1 or 2 marks away from getting the weapon. I don't know why the requirements for this thing are so stringent...

This one seems odd. The others makes sense since their lies, but saying Alidoro wasn't real is a truth.

When she asks the question, shes talking about the real Alidoro, not the imposter. She learns that he died recently if you killed him, and wonders who he was in 2 different contexts depending on your choices.

The truth is that he is her brother. The lie is that hes just some rando. Both choices give you 2 different records.
