I haven't got to the nameless puppet fight, I just know it exists...
In terms of difficulty, I found Nameless Puppet more frustrating compared to Laxasia for some reason even if I do not think it was much more difficult.
In my opinion, Nameless Puppet is way more difficult, because I don't think it has an easy way or gimmick to defeat it. And it is very hard (at least it was for me).
Good luck
Ehh - to me they are about on-par, but the difficulty is different in itself. Laxasia for example is fast, as is Nameless, but she also has that one attack to shoot lightning at you that could be deflected. Nameless doesn't have projectiles, but has special reach attacks akin to Lady Maria from Bloodborne and is not often in a neutral stance (long combos, fast transitions, 2 weapon modes on phase 2).
Guess the TL:DR is - Nameless applies pressure like Laxasia, but it's all in your face vs possibly from projectiles (and he can heal 1 time during phase 1). So while they are similar, it will be harder if you do "less well" against enemies constantly running into you.
Compared to Laxasia, he was MUCH easier to deal with. I feel like both his phase 1 and phase 2 attacks were FAR easier to parry then Laxasia's phase 2 attacks (which were MUCH harder to both dodge and parry)
I think the reason people complain about his difficulty is they can't cheese him with a specter...
