Question on Two Dragons Sword
I just beat the swamp monster and bought the Twin Dragon Sword. I saw online this is supposed to be the best weapon for tech builds. However, its stats, when upgraded a bit, pale in comparison to what I'm using (puppet's saber handle + bone-cutting sawblade). I have 31 technique, so the difference in S scaling on the twin dragon vs B scaling on the saber don't make a huge bit of difference on attack (the sawblade still does more because of its base damage) -- and the much less damage reduction on defense seems like a huge downside. The attack speed seems quite similar.

So what I'm asking is... when does it get good? Is it worth investing a ton of resources upgrading it over the generic weapon that I'm using? Yes, the fable arts look cool, but it's hard imagining those will make up for the lower damage and MUCH lower defense. Or are they just *that* good?

The biggest deal about the TDS is the unique charged heavy attack. When you go for a charged heavy attack while using it, there's a weird flurry animation, and then a flash. If you time it right so that an enemy's attack lands at the same time as the flash, you'll parry it and launch a counterattack that deals a huge amount of damage. There are a few other neat features with the moveset too, like the ability to move around and reposition in the middle of a string of light attacks. Basically it's a complicated weapon and hard to use, but it gives you a ton of options and the potential for a huge amount of damage.
The reason TDS is considered the best is that one of it's features is to interrupt the enemy's combo if you time it right. It's also has a decent enough art attached to it, including a ranged attack.
I have completed a full playthrough with the TDS and I can tell you that while it is indeed OP to be able to just interrupt any action of the enemy and beat them up, it's actually quite difficult to do in practice as the ability has to be fired 2 seconds prior to the ability hitting you, or about that time, plus-minus a 0.1 second, give or take. Which in fact will mess up your regular parries.

I would recommend trying an advance build instead as it's quite fun with a few cool weapons for it that you can use for different situations. The flaming two-handed sword is really OP weapon.

Or I would suggest using Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive if you want a "boss" weapon. It isn't one, but is bascially a one by the stats and the way you upgrade it.

To be fully honest, all boss weapons are kinda underwhelming since you can customize your own OP weapon that can outperform them. Many of the boss weapons are also quite fragile and lose durability insanely fast.

That sounds impossible on most attacks. Very few attacks have a 2 second windup. Some of the "big guys" you might be able to see, but lots of attacks come much more quickly than that.

Hmmm... I'll play aorund a bit more. I like the quick dancing movements, but the lowered damage on basic attacks is making a lot of fights quite hard.

It's opposite actually litterally majority of atacks have wind up as such
besides it suppose to be used mainly for last atack of enemy combo not to inturrupt their combo everysingle time before they even begin doing it...

Yep, it is. It's basically commiting to learning 2 separate timings, thanks, but i have enough trouble learning parry :deadweight:

It's not really impossible. In most cases the attack itself might not have a wind up, but the enemies would either have patterns that you can predict by learning them or they would have other animations that will tell you what attacks are coming. Basically you just have to really know the boss or any enemy you are fighting because you can predict what attack is coming and even if has less than 2 second wind up, you have to start your super-parry before boss even attacks.
This is the reason I said it was difficult in practice. You do get a knack for it as you keep playing, but it's still difficult, especially since now you have 2 parries and one of them have to be triggered 2 seconds before any attack comes in.
Here, I found you a King of Puppets video by ongbal with the TDS. You should be past that point, so no spoilers or anything like that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDPADDJWdls

You can clearly see here what the gameplay would look like if you master it.
