I would recommend working on your parrying and learning the moves of your weapon, as knowing which attacks hit at what speed really help with the circus boss. Do remember - your last pulse cell also recharges when empty if you hit enemies, so you can refill it during the fight!
Also, you get the ability to remove your spent levels and put them elsewhere later in the game, so even if you are unhappy with your initial choices you aren't locked into them!
The game also presents a LOT of Stargazers throughout the story, and you have the ability to travel to and from them at will. Once you beat the circus boss, a lot of the story opens up. Remember - you're still in the tutorial, so they're introducing these concepts that seem restrictive but open up as soon as you progress. Happy lying!
These tips are wonderful but I am quite sure it was the fact I haven't had much time to really get the controls known... I do think I have some minor weapon issues but If I get the others and experiment I should be okay. I almost got him the last time I fought him this time I am bringing zappy things with me. This may sound noobish but I need to remember to DODGE because I have no Perry (to my understanding this can be fixed switching the weapon around.) and that is my understanding of the issues I have. They aren't major its just that first stargazer leveling very strange.
I've beaten the game four times and I have no idea what you're talking about. Do you mean when the hotel is under attack? Because you're only locked out of levelling up for like... 15 minutes of gameplay, and the boss that you beat to get the ability back is one of the easiest in the entire game.
Basically In lieds of P to my understanding of actually playing the game by design you can only level up once before you get to hotel kart and it kind of is only really lightly hinted about. It's not a big issue just something that it would be nice if it was made more clear even if only on the leveling screen in some context. It could be a minor loss in communication regarding the transfer but it is rather annoying only slightly. This is a game where it is only as hard as you make it for yourself I was just pointing out that the vague speak of the lock, which to be fair is probably to an extent a tiny oversight, was odd. I didn't expect to see all these Souls vets and sikero players voicing in on minor commentary on the issue.
I am a very literal person so your skimming the post weighting I played through _____ X amount of times is just you looking so vain right now. Just say Get gud and be gone, this kind of jumpy trash talk was what turned me off PVP games in all fairness.
This is just personal commentary that you are looking at like whining... this is entirely why it is making no since to you because you are inserting things that are not there. My comment is the way its handled is excessively strange and could be done better in all fairness. I haven't had much time to really dig my heals into the game other than messing about with the base mechanics of the starter levels I am not wealthy and able to avoid spending hours a day filtering through jobs to see what ones are even worth applying to to start with. There is an alarmingly large amount of shady stuff in the local job market in my area that is politically driven and avoiding chaos and disaster has taken more of my time and resources than I would like.
Bottom line The only reason I haven't is because I literally have not had the time. what you are seeing is my accumulated play hours learning the mechanics on the first level monsters. Because I don't have a single day where I can just sit and stream myself trying to pun the parade master puppet. Your free time would be a luxury to me at the moment. so don't go prancing around on the high horse too much there buddy you already tripped.
Before you get to the hotel in ng, there's a level cap at the stargazer that you can level up at.
On an unrelated note, I remember a dialogue during the tutorial that says stargazer can only level you up to a limit
Yes it was Sofphie words "the power of stargazers will not last" or something like that.
Initially I did not understand what it meant but as is with this sort of games, everything has to be cryptic to an extent.
You always end up learning from your experience and practice and not because it's was spelled out to you. It's part of the charm when playing these games
Ultimately we go looking at guides so it's a kind of flawed design
