maybe that's the point? to full people into thinking that telling the truth is important to matter how badly the truth will devestate someone?

I was actually wondering if you could by the end side with the machines and take over the world, but apparently you cant, which is a bummer, because not telling lies only makes you miss out on stuff and nothing else, apparently. A big missed opportunity imo
while i hate being a meanie in games i have to agree, but who knows, maybe there will be an update or DLC to adress that.
i don't see Pino helping the insane puppets to destroy humanity but a different ending when all the robots become sane but dominate human society would be interesting
