I don’t watch Asmon’s streams, just his reaction videos and clips, which are entertaining, his isn’t some god tier gamer, but I still like his content

Not to defend Asmon, because he has some strange opinions. I have to give you guys that. But still, he played most Souls games. Sekiro, every souls game, wo long, Elden ring (he actually loves this one), and probably more. Still, it's just an opinion of 1 man. But still, Wo-long wasn't that impressive and he thought it was trash, so i'm on the same page on that one. So although it's just an opinion he usually knows what he's talking about.

Playing and being fan of something is a different thing though.
I'd trust his opinion if he was talking about wow. But in this case it's basically irrelevant. Go and ask opinion of souls streamers if you so desire. It will have more weight to it.

I'm watching a video of him of 19 hours ago and he literately said the game "was a lot of fun to play". He just acknowledges there are some issues with the game. Like stun-locking, and some other issues. This doesn't mean he didn't like the game. It's a single player game that you can finish. Of course he quits playing it at a point. Not every Souls is ER.

I returned it and will come back. It is an awesome game. Watch fighting cowboys review. It explains the unbalance, and decided for yourself. I will wait till it gets fixed. Hope they do soon Lords of the Fallen is coming.

Do you never form an opinion based on other people's responses? Doesn't matter if it's streamers, youtubers or traditional games journalists - I'm sure you do it as well to some degree. The only alternative would be to play every single game for yourself, and nobody has that kind of time and patience. ^^
