Here's the thing - I love 3rd person action-adventure games with RPG elements. (ie your various zelda-likes. I'm not afraid of some challenge and learning. With the explosion of souls-likes, there are fewer solid AAA-ish games like that, as everything's gone soulsy. Now I don't buy them, but when they pop up on gamepass, I give them a whirl and really enjoy the setting, the tight controls, the different combat options. I'd absolutely adore a game like that without the unforgiving difficulty, where even the first boss is a nightmare. I don't want it to be easy, just ramp in difficulty so I get better as I move through the game, rather than spike.
