Automatically lied to the atoned!?

Apparently if you do not select anything when the atoned asks you if you're a stalker before the traincar it will automatically select the lie option after a bit? I was doing a truth-only run and it completely screwed it up. Terrific......

I do not think that is considered as lie.
You need to kill an optional miniboss in the smelter area to get a gesture. Performing it to Atoned will allow you to pretend to be a stalker and pass without a fight. But that'd be a lie, wouldn't it?

yes it is. your springs react like a lie. not that it matters. i'm pretty sure the games ending only cares if you majority lied or told the truth, not if you were exclusive

yes it is. your springs react like a lie. not that it matters. i'm pretty sure the games ending only cares if you majority lied or told the truth, not if you were exclusive

That's correct. I told the truth a few times but overall lied and I managed to get a lie playthrough weapon and ending

I lied to two Hotel Krat characters during my truth playthrough and it unlocked fine. I needed to complete my record collection and was stressing about if I'd have to do another playthrough but it worked out fine :)

Weird. my first play through I didn't say I was a stalker and fought her, but in my second play through I said I was one and I never got the "Your springs are reacting" bit.
