Few things to make the game perfect
I am KB+M player so for anyone playing on controller this might not be the case, but...

1. I would be very happy if Sprint and Dodge were separated.
2. I am used to spam dodge button from other souls games to make the dodge as soon as possible, in this game you can't really do that because if you spam the roll button in the middle of a roll, the character will roll one more time after the first roll animation is done and I don't want him to dodge one more time.

Otherwise the game is beautiful, plays amazing (except the 2 things, the first one is more of a "getting used to" thing, but it's an addition which takes like 5 minutes to do) and is basically flawless so far imo after one hour of playing.

try a sekiro + elden ring layout.
Shift = Sprint/dodge
Jump = Space
Middle mouse = Heavy attack
right click = block

im in the mid game and everything works good and im also using keyboard and mouse

I have tried it on Shift, I have played Sekiro and Elden Ring like that, also I have played all of the Dark Souls games like that as well, even Mortal Shell I think, but I am not sure and the thing is that I have played all of these game quite a long time ago and I am not used to it anymore, especially after playing Thymesia and Star Wars Jedi for the past few days lol

I had to bind dodge in Star Wars to one of my side mouse buttons because the controls were also pretty weird on PC so... yeah lol.

EDIT: My current controls are Shift=jump, Spacebard=Dodge + Sprint, RMB=Block, MB4 or MB5 (basically side mouse button, one of them lol)=Heavy attack, MMB=Lock on

I tried rereading the 2nd problem just to understand it and i get it xD. i don't know how this game works or what you expect but majority of the game you need to block or perfect block(It's so strict compare to sekiro/bloodborne). The dodge is so clunky at least for me that's why i don't dodge or just let my self die if the perfect block fails.

But in Sekiro the dodge was at least responsive and it was very fast so even if something like this was in Sekiro, you probably wouldn't even notice...

I haven't played Bloodborne so I can't tell, but these 2 things are the only things which if they fix will make the game perfect in my opinion, I didn't really like the demo because of the dodge problem, but I was like let's give it a chance, I love the atmopshere, let's do it and it's an amazing game if you try to avoid spamming dodge like 10 times during one dodge lol

I just realised that for example when you have a greatsword and you enter a safe location and you hide the sword, the sword just disappears, that is also a very little detail which would be cool if the sword actually stayed on his back instead of disappearing.
