If you think the game is great, being 19h in and at the third last boss or so, I got bad news for you...no idea how you could possibly judge its worth yet...because you can't.
As for your internet trolls aka anyone who doesn't share your opinion, I am the same. I refund this once I am done. It ain't worth the money.
(Ok it's more like 3 mini bosses plus 1, but still)
Cool story bro. It's almost like I did not even comment on the actual gameplay at all, just that the technical side is actually good. That's how low the damn bar is now. If you wanna be part of the reason why good developers keep moving to MTX and DLC laden ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ by refunding a game you obviously enjoyed (who the ♥♥♥♥ plays a game for 19 hours that isnt having at least some fun), then your opinion is pretty much useless anyway.
That's not even a bar anymore, because this isn't even about the game anymore. That's just code. No wonder games get worse and worse if the sheep have literally no bar at all anymore.
Funny enough, you are the reason they do that. Buying up literally anything. I am just going through this torture to check it off my list. I don't play this for enjoyment, that's my take on it. I don't know what it takes for someone to actually "enjoy" a game like that anyway. It's about suffering through the challenge, after all.
But even if the game was actually good, and having seen the second half of it thus far it really isn't, it wouldn't be worth the asking price and this crappy DRM. For 20 EUR, sure, at least it would hit the minimum for Euros per hours played.
As things stand, it'll be a good 2/3 away from being worth 60 EUR.
Make something worth paying for and reasonable people consider it.
But there's plenty sheep to make up for it anyway, so not like it matters.
Unless you want to rebind the keys, then no cigar.
Key rebinding works just fine? The only thing it did not let me bind was hyphen....but easy enough to just set the mouse button to a different input that it will accept.
Try rebinding W, A, S, D, C, Alt, Tilde. Not mentioning other issues listed in other threads.
Ya there are certain buttons you can't change. I imagine WASD isn't much of a concern for most people though. Most letters and numbers can be rebound, and everything except movement and the fairly unimportant thing that C does can be rebound though. Definitely an issue that should be fixed, but a lot less atrocious than a lot of other games.
Stuff like PowerToys can easily provide that, but it's still a hassle.
So yeah, even on a technical level, might not be so great for everyone...
Exactly. That's why I didn't buy the game.
We reported that issue after the demo, tried to reach out, and there was no feedback, which was already a bad sign. Another game without support and from devs who don't know there are other countries out there with other keyboard layouts.
Then of course there's the last minute Denuvo stunt. It doesn't annoy everyone but I'm not touching a game that installs something unknown in the kernel of my OS and which can access anything and do who knows what.
So, no, not a great PC release as far as I'm concerned. Neowiz is on my ignore list.
It's analogous to Elden Ring's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that (still) has hardcoded G in the middle of the keyboard for calling map.
And all this crap should be called out, loudly. And if review bombs are the only way for them to notice - so be it.
