Try setting a FPS cap on the game through your AMD GPU software .
Seems the framerate in the shader compilation screen skyrockets.
Game is already capped at 60 fps by default + I have RTSS capping every game on my system to 140 fps so that can't be it :/
It's doing exactly the same thing for me. It does the shader compilation, then immediately after it hits 100%, my computer shuts down completely. It's as if the power supply was going bad, but no other game does this.
Ryzen 5 3600
RTX 4070
Also, I'm playing the Gamepass version.
Looks like we're using totally different hardware. I tried underclocking the GPU, and I tried going in Geforce Experience and turning all the options down. Neither one helped.
I haven't tried RTSS, so I guess I'll do that.
EDIT: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, capping the framerate at 60 through RTSS actually worked. The game is running now. Remains to be seen how long that lasts
Look at PAYDAY 3 and why they HAD to remove it.
