Some dlc speculation.
I wonder if it will effect some quests in the base game, like giving the glove quest, or if certain collectables will gain a use.

Personally i want the dlc the ability to give us a happier ending, but i doubt it will change the tragedy krat.

Other than some locations, npcs and bosses, we have not been shown much yet. But things i have noticed, due to having short hair, you access the dlc before the king of puppets fight, so i wonder if you can side with the king?

I'm also wondering if you have to progress the main game to progress the dlc, like perhaps you have to play both at the same time.

It would be wild if you feed Sif in the past and then in the future he follows you around and barks at you constantly and there's no way to turn it off.
I will note that the hair isn't conclusive, you can change your hair style and color at the P-Organ chair

We will almost certainly enter the DLC from the overgrown Stargazer outside the Malum District, so yes pre-Romeo is probable.
I want to start using a dlc weapon as soon as possible, so i will jump in the dlc as soon as i can.

And thinking about progression in the dlc, as the main game is linear with how frame parts are found. Makes me believe you have to progress the main story to bypass roadblocks in the dlc area. That is assuming you can enter the dlc as soon as you find the rusty stargazer.

I'm also wondering if the main game will get some changes, like new items on the map, or p organ changes. I also would not be surprised if we get that winter outfit seen in the trailer just by buying the dlc.

I'm personally really hoping that things you do in the dlc will effect things that happen in the base game.
I went ahead and got a save just to the rusty stargazer, got all my offensive stats at 10, with health at 20, and stamina and capacity at 15. saved my upgrade materials by using a +3 greatsword of fate, made sure to save the legion plug too, as i may need it to get those new legion arms.

This should let me dive straight into the dlc when it releases, but if the dlc changes the early game, i will start a new save for it.
Isn't the DLC basically the set up for the main game? It's a prequel of sorts. It shouldn't change any endings, not that it'd matter because there's the definitive ending where you get a glimpse of what should be Lies of P 2 (or whatever it ends of being called).

All the endings give that post credits clip.

Will the DLC add any achievements?

I dunno.
Been looking at the trailer again as someone said we will get an ally summoning legion arm, but i do not think that is the case, as P takes the horn out of his pouch in the trailer, and his arm in that scene just looks like the starter arm.

Though i do wonder if we will get the ability to upgrade the punching arm....

No, unfortunately they have already confirmed that yes, there will indeed be new achievements.
