Honestly, played only 6h in ER, and Lies of P for me seems MUCH better.
But mainly because of awesome setting and faster gameplay.
Also learning curve in Elden Ring is terrible, first few hours I was like a puppy thrown into pool with alligators, but I see much more stats, armor, spells, seems like as an RPG it can be very enjoying
I did the same with Elden Ring, I played it for about an hour and just couldn't grasp it. I came back AGAIN nearly a year later and watched a few videos to understand the open world concept and that nothing was tracked etc It really threw me but once the bug hit.. jesus I sank TIME into this game. I uninstalled it recently and have almost 1k hours in it.
If you can dedicate a bit more time and check out a few helpful tips/hints type video you will almost certainly love it also.
LOP is def more linear and going back to that style of play after something like Elden Ring has me almost feeling a little put off.
..Also I may have hit a few walls to check if there were hidden passages in LOP also

Yup, when Im running through an area for the first time im being very mindful (and demure) of whats around me and above. I do notice you can simple run past a lot of things without the need to fight in many cases. Intended I guess but I read you can miss out on certain drops and ergo of course , so I do tend to kill everything.
Planning to get 30/30/30 for Vig/Stam/Cap and then start leveling up Motivity
You can check soft-caps for more optimal build

Only capacity has linear progression and you better up it only when you need it. "Slighly Heavy" doesn't really affect game. I've done my first run staying below 60%, but I'd better spent this Ergo to some more useful stats
Stamina has soo little steps per level so I almost skipped it even for Dexterity build (where you need to do more than 1 hit per attack iteration), coz it's always enough anyway, and you need to waste few levels to get some valuable amount of additional stamina
Oh and few tips not to miss content (no spoilers):
1) When you will run at roofs, you can easily miss tiny side-quest: get down by the ladder and talk with glowing window. Quest will be softlocked after defeating location boss. There is also one more quest on that location with another glowing window with crying woman, it's other quest
2) Better buy all starting weapons from first merchant, later he won't sell it, but that weapons are required for collector achievement
3) Frozen Sword is required for side-quest. You will have to choose between cool amulet or this sword. Quest reward is quartz and achievement (which can be received in NG+ anyway). So just decide if you want to get one more quartz for NG+, or amulet
4) Don't press the lever for submarine before ended all side-storylines
5) Always decrypt vessels BEFORE talk with Eugenie
6) In last chapters you will find a guy who speaks that he knows the way out of his location, but he won't get out if you don't open big doors at the end of corridor with him
7) Backup save before final boss
Elden Ring's gameplay feels smoother but this is still great. Can't wait for the sequel, if they did this well with their first attempt then I have high hopes for their next one.
2) I think I have them but im not too fussed about the achievement
3) Yes I read this when I was looking at which to get between it and the amulet and I got the outfit from the vendor earlier today.
4) Well past that, not sure if there's things ive missed but, no worries
5) Hmmm not sure if i've done that for them all, is it achievement related ?
6) Hmm not sure what that refers too. I'm currently fighting Laxasia so if its after that i'll keep an eye
7) Will do
Thanks all for the input
I've made a blast of changes since and getting through it all faster.
Currently fighting Laxasia the Complete, awesome intro and have managed to get her to stage 2 around 15%. Just some butter fingers messed me up.
Great game
Hmmm maybe I did it automatically as I got her achievement recently, told her who her brother is etc Got the record.. was there something else to it I might have missed?
That was proper challenging.. I just got him down and ended with the Rise of P achievement.
I have to say in terms of the bosses/minibosses.. there were def a few let downs in terms of how easy/1 shot a number of them were.
Outside of the first rabbit gang fight/ king of the puppets p2 and nameless puppets I think the majority of the others took anywhere from 1-3 attempts.
Very let down by the simon fight.. he was 'technically' the big bad end villan and I easily 1 shot him. But I guess maybe some RNG etc involved!
Still a very very enjoyable game and given the little ending clip it sounds like another game is on the horizon
They will release a dlc this year and there will also be a sequel
Waiting impatiently for that DLC. Been waiting to get the complete edition or whatever they're going to call it for the base game and dlc packaged together.
