It's a problem with the genre as a whole and has been for decades. Treat situational awareness of things like corners as part of the skillset you need, same as memory or reflexes.

Seriously... Skill Increase: Corner obstruction. Skill Increase: Wall detection. Lol. I cannot compare anything to ER's Beauty and streamlined mechanics. Lies of P is one of the good ones though.

In the second phase of the Green Swamp fight, sometimes the monster will run towards you, the stagger will carry you over to the wall, and the monster will continue to combo you to death. This interaction almost feels intentional.

Besides that, Lies of P is pretty decent about not having too many wonky hitboxes, death combos, or glitches, which is different from FromSoft titles which are notorious for having bugs, glitches, death combos, and bad hitboxes....which for some reason everyone ignores.

Nice - good to know. I have found a few death wall combos in Lies of P and none in ER (specifically). Oh well, it is part of the genre as stated but Wow is it annoying when it happens.

Soulsborne games from Fromsoft have a lot of death combos, but IDK about death wall combos in particular. I think the issue with Lies of P is that sometimes the arenas can feel cluttered or too small because enemies have an insane amount of range and lunge/homing attacks.

With that said, Lies of P is far more polished in terms of glitches/bugs, etc compared to Fromsoft games where it is pretty much accepted to die from nonsense like deceptive hitboxes/grabs.

I died 3 times in less than 5hrs in game because of blocked movement. Fair comments for Lies of P although FS has a much larger scope for ER so we cannot really compare. Regardless, Lies of P is very fun and well done indeed. And that's the end-goal. Fun in the apocalyptic puppet show. And Hype building for ER Nightrein lol.

Yeah, a problem with this game is that there are far too many narrow pathways and narrow arenas which restrict movement, which make it easy to put yourself in a corner.

Bruh, this is absolutely ridiculous. I am at the Shield Swamp mini boss in the Cathedral and every time he puts me up against the wall, I am out and cannot move... Come on.

Definitely too many narrow areas and weapon gets blocked as well...

LOL, that enemy was very annoying. Is there even a way to break shields in this game, because I was at a loss on how to deal with it, and there is another enemy with a shield as well.

Apparently there is a way to cheese the boss in the video below.

Such a pain but I dont mind his moveset, it is more the wall movement issue. Just beat him either way but the technical frustration is almost enough to make me stop playing :/ Goodness. Uh, smelly cheese lol. ER is way more brutal.

its positioning. Since players are perfect guarding or guarding more, they tend to stand and fight more and its much easier to get pushed around, surrounded or cornered. Have to detect this stuff before hand and employ sprint or roll to evade + reposition instead of continuing to stand and fight.

Someone mentioned somthing about death combos, this game has some... but there are ways around it. You can flinch some enemeis out of death combos with big attacks or landing a perfect guard will cut their combo short and leave them open to attacks( case of the swamp monster's death combo or charge, its different from stance break). Or just good ol run around until its over.
