However, this game (and in fact all games that support controllers) must have an option to change the prompt graphics to DS4 ones. It's not that huge of a hurdle, and there's really no good reason to try and figure out what type of controller the player is using; just let them choose their prompts manually.
That's not properly working then. Input, yes. Prompts, wrong ones for the controller.
Maybe, just maybe the fact i ask here is because i'd rather play on steam.
Thing is, i can't afford to spend over 550 euros for a PS5.
Otherwise i'd already have preordered it there.
I get what you mean but while steam itself does support playstation controllers, not all games do (even some tagged as supporting them).
I wouldn't say must. There are no such obligations but i think they should (be it playstation, Nintendo or xbox if controller is an option).
I think that might be legal reasons or having to ask other platforms for authorization to use their prompts each game, idk...
How ?
